
Facilitation, for many years now, has emphasised process and tools and the person deploying them. The expectation for facilitation to drive value has increased raising the question of how we ‘design and facilitate’ from the perspective of value creation. This session will open with a context including facilitators’ stories of value creation. Following this a value creation model will be introduced. We’ll then explore the evolution of facilitation through a past, present, future frame using the lens of definition of facilitation, deliverables of facilitation and facilitation identity. Finally, we’ll apply the value creation model to identify value creation in the present and future.
