Great facilitation doesn’t end with conceptual clarity. Its true test is in enabling learners to apply what they’ve learned in their real-world roles. This interactive session uses the Situational Leadership model to demonstrate how customised tools can bridge the gap between insight and action. Through a mix of insight-triggering gameplay and hands-on design, participants will discover how to make learning stick by mapping concepts directly to workplace realities.
Session Objectives
1. Design session to close application gap – Understand the gap between concept immersion and enabling application in a real-world context, and integrate strategies to close it into the session design.
2. Experience context-mapping tools in action – Engage in a brief gameplay experience to generate insights, then work with a customised Situational Leadership tool that helps each participant connect the model’s principles directly to their facilitation reality.
3. Begin creating personalised application-focused tools – Learn a simple framework for designing facilitation tools that drive actionable, role-relevant outcomes for any learning program.
