GREAT RANN OF KUTCH

The Great Rann(Desert) of Kutch is one of the most isolated deserts in the world. The land is witnessed with extreme weather and Temperatures. Also known as the White Desert, Rann of Kutch is covered area of 2897-square-mile salt marsh located in the Thar Desert. It is spread over the Two Countries Boundaries between Kutch-India and south Pakistan.

The legendary festival of RANN UTSAV also takes place at this time which has lots of FUN, Cultural activities, handicraft shows, Entertainment, Camel rides and lot more. From Kid to Grand parents every one has something to cherish about.

And luckily This marathon time is blessed with FULL MOON. Which shall add the glory to your Visit.

The Route is set along the India's largest salt desert will leave you amazed and Rise with Pride to Run in most Western Point of India.

You can opt from 45km/25km/15km, 5Km/3Km.

We shall arrange and take care for your transport, stay and all meals and sight seeing during these 4 day.

A package is being offered to our participants which includes stay, all meals, sightseeing including the Northern-Central and Southern Kutch with our Guided tour.

Tour Starts 9.00 hrs on Day 1 (Bhuj) and Ends at 19.00 hrs on Day 4 (Bhuj)

Day 1 (8th February-Saturday)

• Pick up from BHUJ and Travel to Rann. (85 Kms)

• On route Breakfast & Tea.

• Check-In at Dhordo-Kutch Rann in Tent / Heritage Huts.

• Lunch and Visit Rann Utsav and White Rann, Salt Desert.

• High Tea and snacks.

• In evening Race Brief & Route Sight.

• Watch Sunset, Camel ride and Click awesome Photographs with Traditional Dress attire.

• Dinner. Cultural Programme, Bon-fire and Music.

Day 2 (9th February-Sunday)

Flag off for 45 Kms: 3am; 25 Kms: 5am; 15kms: 6.30am. 5km/3km: 7.30 am
All Cut off by 8.45 am. (45 kms Cut off by 9.15 am.)
Announcing the podium finishers and prize distribution.
Brunch at 9.30 am.
Depart for guided tour of Kalo Dungar-Magnetic Hill, Dattray Temple, Panoramic top view from Hill and INDO-Pak border, Handicraft village and LUNCH.
Visit to Haji Pir Dargah (Optional, not Included in package)
Lunch.
Cultural Programme, Bon-fire and Music and Dinner.

Day 3 (10th Feb- Monday)

• Check out from Rann and Travel to Bhuj.

• Check-in at Bhuj Hotel: Lunch

• Local Sight seeing and taste delicious Kutchi delicacies.

• Visit Kutch Museum. Aina Mahal – Historical Palace, Prag Mahal – Historical Palace, Sharad Bag – Shahi Historical Palace, Hiralaxmi Craft Park, Vande Mataram Memorial – 1st 4D Dynamic Museum of India.

Day 4 (11th Feb- Tuesday)

• Breakfast at 7.30 am.

• Check-out from Hotel.

• Depart for Guided tour of Mandvi.

• Visit 72 (Bauter) Jinalay (Jain Temple), Vijay Vilas Palace – Historical palace on Mandvi beach, Godhara Ambe Dham – A temple with a museum where creation of magnificent views in form of model art for scene from the mythology.

• Lunch at Mandvi

• Visit Shyamji Krishna Varma Memorial Park, Windfarm beach – Mandvi

• High Tea, Enjoy amazing sunset and beach activities – Camel Ride,Horse Ride, Speed boat, Jumping, Moto-Ride

• Back to the Bhuj and depart for back to Your home respective locations with Happy Memories...

FAQ INFO:

1) All packages are Exclusive of Taxes and Service Tax/Charges.

2) For Every Distance of Run the above Package remains inclusive of Marathon fees.

3) The 3km/5km RUN Category is Complimentary with the Package and NOT negotiable in monetary value.

5) Race start point is at 4 km from Your Stay (Subject to change as per weather conditions). We shall arrange your Pick up & Drop.

6) Flag Off Timings for Main Race day 9th February’19. No Cash Prize. Winners will be awarded with Trophy.

45 Kms: Flag Off at 3am; (Cut off by 9.15am)

25 Kms: Flag off 5am; (Cut off by 8.45am)

15kms: Flag Off 6.30am. (Cut off by 8.45am)

5km/3km: Flag off 7.30 am. (Cut off by 9.30 am)

7) 2nigh/3 days package will start from Day 1 and will be dropped to BHUJ for respective Home city on Monday i.e. Day3. (Will not check In at Bhuj Hotel on Day3.)

8) 1night/2days package will Start from Day 1 from the above itinerary (Pick up facility from BHUJ included) and drop to BHUJ for Respective Home city post Marathon and Brunch. (Will not check In at Bhuj Hotel)

9) The weather shall remain Volatile, as Nights and sundowner will be Cold and Day will be bit hot.

10) Limited Seats. ONLY 100 participants shall be allowed to Race due to Border Security restrictions.

11) 1 kid of 5 year is complimentary. If more than 2 kid of below 5 year than Charge will be levied for 1 kid as per Extra Bed charges.

12) Registration and ID Proof is compulsory for Every individual including kids below 5 years.

Race CLOTHING GUIDE

In February, around the Marathon period, early morning and night temperature varies between 6-12° Celsius, and can go up to as high as 30° Celsius during daytime. For race day we recommend all runners to come dressed in track pants and light jacket until the race starts as it does get chilly in the mornings.

Below is just a clothing guideline and check-list. It is important to travel as light as possible and take only essentials.

CLOTHING

• Dri-Fit Track pants / Running shorts / tights

• Fleece jacket

• Short sleeved / Long sleeved Dri-Fit T-shirts

• Sun hat/cap

• Head Light for 45 kms recommended.

• UV protect Sunglasses (with chums are a must)

• Sun cream / block and lip salve of factor 25 or higher

• Self-Hydration Bag and Water bottle (as terrain might not have hydration points due to NON-driving zone in few areas. But we shall have hydration point before desert start for Refill)
