"Viraj has been quietly building his musical world from scratch for 10 years now, and finally letting people in for the experience. Hailing from New Delhi, his vision is centered around making art that is an extension of people's personas. Being inspired by both Guns N' Roses and Justin Bieber, songwriting came in early, vulnerable and unforced. Since his first song in 2021, Viraj now charges towards his first EP- ""VISDOM"", performing tracks such as ""She"" and ""Say Something"" from the unreleased project. As he blends covers from Dominic Fike to Arctic Monkeys, DEPOT 48 provides the perfect space for releasing the creativity and expression that any Artist wishes for. Keeping all this in mind, if you are at Depot on the 8th of April, it is certain you have a taste that deserves a respectful nod ( you know ball ).
Yanshi writes songs that feel like memories you’ve lived in, even if you haven’t owing to the intimacy and honesty they offer. In between the transition from singer-songwriter to indie-pop, in the faded duality the soundscape of the album finds it’s place.
Bleeding through tissues. written on walls, her diary, bits of leftover paper and in her phone as she goes, the words to her songs are feelings manifested in the capacity that language offers.
Born in Surat and growing up away from the city but in a suburban town, Yanshi spent 19 years in the same house with the same people and friends around, limited exposure but the limitless wonder of nature, and she wouldn’t have it any other way.Discovering her voice and her skill as a writer were results of fateful chance and an unrecognized effort she had been putting in without a serious purpose but since she realised her ability she has spent her time to refine her craft of expressing not in upfront conversations but through the way of songwriting. To express herself and her creativity more publicly she turned to Youtube in the year 2021 and has since then published twenty eight original songs and a visual story accompanying each one of these tracks. For yanshi to bring her art out in the physical space is important and so there will never be scarcity of her creativity and it’s impression for all our eyes."
