This Valentine’s Weekend, share an unforgettable experience of gliding through the clouds with your loved ones.
Located within the ever-popular valley of Dharamshala, Bir and Billing pack equal parts of adventure, warm hospitality, sublime views, and if you’re curious enough, some truly awesome locally fermented wine.
“Adventure” and “hills” are two terms that go hand-in-hand, and the hilly towns of Bir and Billing are living proof of the same. Notoriously famous for housing the highest paragliding site on the continent, the Bir and Billing paragliding site also boasts a collection of some exceptionally awe-inspiring views. Spend a adrenaline-filled day when you glide over the quaint town of Bir, before watching the sun set on the valley, at one of the most picturesque sunset points of the country. Next, spend a leisurely day exploring serene monasteries and local bazaars, or simply go for a long walk in the lap of nature.
This Valentine’s Day, gift your significant other with something that lasts a lifetime, gift them an experience.
Complete Itinerary:
Day 1 (13th February): Departure
- Gather at the pick-up point in Delhi.
- The bus will leave from Delhi at 6:00 PM sharp.
- The bus will stop for a brief dinner break right outside of Delhi. (Not included)
- We will reach our destination (Bir) by the next morning.
Day 2 (14th February): Paragliding In Bir Billing
- Reach Bir in the morning to be treated to a scrumptious breakfast and “adrak wali chai”
- Rest in your rooms before heading out to Billing for the paragliding activity.
- Enjoy paragliding activity that includes a 15-20 minute flight over Bir Billing.
- Have lunch in one of the cafes at the landing site in Bir (not included).
- Sit back and soak in the breathtaking sunset before heading back to the hostel.
- Enjoy a cozy bonfire under the starlit sky with a locally cooked meal (included).
Day 3 (15th February): Exploring Nearby Monasteries
- Wake up to another round of tasty mountain tea and a hearty breakfast spread.
- Next, we will head to the Palpung Sherab Ling Monastery, which is one of the most noteworthy monasteries in the vicinity.
- By late afternoon, we will return to Bir, where you can explore the little hill station on your own
- Dinner will be served at night, and we will head back to Delhi in the morning.
- Retire to rooms for the night.
Day 4 (16th February): Returning Home
- Travel to Delhi, stop for refreshment and lunch breaks on the way, and take a leisurely road trip back home.
- Reach Delhi by evening and plan your next trip to the hills!
- Go back home with rejuvenated energy and beautiful memories of a paragliding experience from the highest paragliding site in the country!
