Located in the Ladakh region of India, Umling La Pass stands at an astonishing 5,883 meters (19,300 feet) above sea level, making it the highest motorable pass in the world. This formidable pass holds two distinct records:

It surpasses all other motorable passes in altitude.

It provides a crucial route to Hanle, a remote village in Ladakh.

Historically, Umling La Pass played a significant role as a trade route between India and Tibet. Its strategic importance was further highlighted during the 1962 Indo-China War. Day 1: Arrival in Leh

• Embark on an unforgettable cycling adventure in Ladakh, starting from the picturesque town of Leh.
• Nestled amidst the region's highest peaks, Leh is a haven for mountaineers and a popular tourist destination.
• Arrive in Leh and settle into your accommodation, allow your body time to adjust to the high altitude (3,500 meters/11,483 ft) and get comfortable with the mountain air.
• Rest and relaxation are key today.
• Avoid strenuous activities, stay hydrated and enjoy the breathtaking surroundings. Bond with your co-riders, share stories, and get ready for an epic adventure!

Day 2: Acclimatization and Preparation In Leh

• Today is reserved for rest and acclimatization to the high altitude. This allows your body to adapt to the new environment, reducing the risk of adverse health conditions.
• Explore Leh's vibrant city market and immerse yourself in the local culture. Visit nearby attractions and get accustomed to the high-mountain city.
• Today you will hop on your bikes to do the acclimatization ride to nearby Shanti Stuppa. This will help you to test your bike and get comfortable with riding in high altitudes.
• While the body acclimatises, we take this time to get together with the group for a debriefing session. In the evening, our group leader will take us through for important details like safety and health pointers that we should keep in mind throughout the expedition.
• The group leader then explains the few basics about the bike before we take it for a test ride. This day is crucial for preparing yourself physically and mentally for the challenging expedition ahead.
• Get Ready for Umling La. Sleep tight, as we embark our epic journey of Umlingla tomorrow.

Day 3 Leh (3,500M) to Tirido (3,750M) via Upshi (3,610M) | 95 km

• Distance: 95km Duration: 5-6 Hrs Destination: Tirido En route: Upshi
• Today we embark on our first day of cycling in the high mountains. After an early breakfast, we kick-start our TOUR DE UMLING La cycle tour from the hotel.
• Ride Through Breathtaking Landscapes. Hope on your bicycle and ride through,Valleys laid with lush green fields, Majestic mountains that touch the sky,Hairpin curves that challenge and thrill.
• Reach Upshi (50km from Leh) for lunch and continue to Tirido, tackling narrow, winding roads with sharp ascents and descents.
• While the ride is physically challenging, the stunning landscape of Ladakh will keep you motivated and inspired.
• After arriving in Tirido relax and unwind with a soothing cup of tea, accompanied by an assortment of snacks and refreshments.
• Savor a delicious dinner, sharing stories and highlights from the day's adventure with fellow cyclists. Recharge and refuel for another exciting day ahead.

Day:4 Tirido (3,750M) to Nyoma (4,180M) via Chumathang (3,950M)

• Distance: 95km Duration: 7-8 Hrs Destination: Nyoma En route: Chumathang
• Enjoy a nutritious breakfast at the hotel to prepare your body for another demanding day.
• Today's journey is equally challenging as yesterday's, with Steep uphill sections that test your endurance, breathtaking scenery that leaves you awestruck.
• Thinner air at high altitude, demanding careful breathing, and refreshing downhill slopes that offer a welcome respite.
• As the sun sets, we arrive in Upper Nyoma, marking the end of an exhilarating day.
• Freshen up and indulge in a hot, served dinner
• Retire to your cosy bed for a well-deserved sleep, preparing your body and mind for the challenges ahead.

Day 5: Nyoma (4,180M) to Hanle (4,500M)

• Distance: 75km Duration: 7-8 Hrs Destination: Hanle
• Get ready for one of the most stunning days of the expedition. Witness captivating visuals of Ladakh's vast landscape; marvel at the region's untouched beauty.
• Enjoy a smooth ride with stunning views of the surrounding mountains and valleys. Pick up speed on downhill stretches and tackle steady climbs.
• Take in breathtaking scenery, including expansive riverbeds and picturesque hamlets.
• Conclude the day with a warm welcome at a homestay in Hanle.
• Check in, freshen up, and savour a delicious dinner. End the day with a sound sleep, as tomorrow brings a well-deserved Rest Day in Hanle.
• Recharge, relax, and get ready to explore Hanle's serene beauty.

Day 6 Rest and Acclimatization at Hanle (4,500M)

• Day 6 is meant for rest and acclimatisation. Immerse yourself in the serene beauty of Hanle.
• Visit the ancient Hanle Monastery, a sacred Buddhist site steeped in history, or explore the renowned Hanle Observatory.
• Unwind in this tranquil high-altitude desert oasis, basking in the peaceful atmosphere. Enjoy a warm, homely dinner.
• Rest and recharge for the ultimate adventure tomorrow, you'll conquer the world's highest motorable road.

Day 7 Hanle (4,500M) to Chisumle via Nirbula Pass (5,310M)

• Distance: 75km Duration: 7-8 Hrs Destination: Chisumle En route: Nirbula
• Begin your day with a nourishing breakfast, preparing you for the thrilling ride ahead.
• Embark on an unforgettable journey to Nurboo, navigating rugged terrain, high mountain passes, strong headwinds, and steep climbs.
• This exhilarating ride will leave you breathless and craving more! As the day unwinds, savour a delectable dinner under the starry sky.
• Recharge with a restful night's sleep, ready to conquer tomorrow's adventure.

Day 8: Chisumle to Umling La Pass (5,883M) to Hanle (4,500M)

• Distance: 50km Duration: 9-10 Hrs Destination: Umlingla Pass
• Start your day with a quick breakfast, fueling up for the ultimate challenge. Conquer the world's highest motorable road (5,883M), braving strong winds and steep climbs.
• Be awestruck by the breathtaking, panoramic views of the Himalayas from the summit.
• Descend from the pass and drive back to Hanle, where a warm welcome awaits. Unwind at your Hotel And indulge in a hearty, comforting dinner.

Day 9: Hanley to Leh

• Begin your day with a hearty breakfast, fueling up for the scenic drive back to Leh.
• Wind your way through the stunning high-altitude desert landscape, taking in the breathtaking views.
• Return to Leh and check into the Himalayan Retreat hotel, where a warm dinner celebration awaits.
• Tonight, we gather to mark the triumphant completion of our epic tour.

Day 10: Return Journey

After a leisurely breakfast, you're free to embark on your return journey. You can opt for a flight back home or extend your stay in Leh to explore the surrounding areas. The choice is yours.
