Tidepool Tamasha: Immersive Storytelling & Shorewalk for Kids

Marine Life of Mumbai and Nature Narratives invite young explorers aged 5-12 and their parents to discover the hidden wonders of Mumbai's shores through an unforgettable blend of guided shore exploration and immersive storytelling. This unique field event transforms the intertidal zone into a living classroom where children will search for creatures tucked in rock pools, learn about their fascinating lives and experience this coastal ecosystem through engaging stories that bring marine life to vibrant reality. Led by marine biologists, educators and storytellers, participants will get their feet wet, observe marine creatures in their natural habitat, and leave with a deeper connection to the ocean at their doorstep. Perfect for curious minds who love nature, adventure, and stories that spark imagination.

Things to note

1. This experience is for kids aged 5—12 years. All kids must be accompanied by at least one parent.

2. Please wear closed, protective footwear with a good grip. (footwear/feet will get wet)

3. No handling of any animal is allowed.

4. Please wear a cap and carry water to keep yourself hydrated.

Shorewalks are always at the mercy of the weather. Kindly bear with us if this leads us to reschedule the event.

Terms & Conditions

• A shorewalk is a nature trail conducted in both sandy and rocky habitats. We require all participants to physically be able to walk a distance of approximately 1 km over a period of 1.5 hours
• Unless the event is cancelled or called off by the organisers, tickets once booked are non-refundable, non-transferable and will not be adjusted against any other shorewalk
• The organiser does not take the responsibility for the loss or theft of any personal belongings or any injury that the ticket holder may accrue at the event.
• Basic first-aid will be provided by our Educators
• Smoking, drinking or other forms of intoxication are strictly prohibited during the shorewalk
• Inappropriate behaviour of any kind by a participant shall lead to eviction from the shorewalk
• We recommend that you arrive at least 15 minutes prior to the starting time
• On the above terms, the organiser reserves the sole right of admission to each event
• In case of adverse weather conditions, the event organiser has the right to reschedule the shorewalk
