Therefore Design, in association with 3P Group, presents a 3-part webinar series for the Indian food industry. A conversation with various industry experts, this webinar series will explore various facets of the F&B industry, with respect to COVID-19.

Part 1 of the series will comprise of the following topics of discussion:

• Transitioning towards a speedy recovery

Overview
The F&B industry in India comprises of varied companies that work in the areas of food processing, packaging, and distribution, which include prepared foods, packaged foods, as well as alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages.
In light of COVID-19, the F&B industry in India is undoubtedly all set to change, just like every other industry. It is true that the F&B industry has been hit substantially due to the pandemic. However, it is also imperative to realise that this industry has the potential to bounce back soon. Because, through the pandemic, if there is one fact that has come to light, it is that consumers have continued to spend of food items, packaged foods and other essentials to ensure that their pantries remain well-stocked.

In order that the industry emerges victorious on the other side of the pandemic, conforming to various regulatory changes in the following months will be vital. With reference to the same, this webinar seeks to find answers to some pertinent questions such as:
  • What would be the impact on production systems and processes, in a post-COVID world?
  • How will sourcing and supply chain management change, with respect to the emerging scenario of ‘vocal for local’?

At BMT drive solutions, Sumit helms the P&L operations in the East and is responsible for business performance.



Shridhar Taparia
Director of New Business, Procol

Beginning his career as an Associate at CBRE, Shridhar soon moved to Future Consumer Ltd., and in a span of four years, he rose to the position of Brand Chief. One of the youngest entrepreneurs within Future Group’s ecosystem, Shridhar managed Desi Atta Company, a brand of select flours and ready mixes, by Future Group. A self-starter, Shridhar is extremely resourceful and can always be counted on to deliver more than his share. Currently, he serves as a full-time director at Procol, India's first digital procurement platform.



Shekhar Kale
MD, Triple Pee Solutions Pvt. Ltd.

One of Shekhar’s compelling visions is to contribute positively to the growth of society and to create an ecosystem for others to benefit from. A serial entrepreneur, Shekhar has founded many companies across diverse industries, which reflect his passion for innovative ideas and his openness to experiment. An expert in the field of food technology, food processing and product development, Shekhar has helped many national and MNC food companies scale up their manufacturing facilities and develop new products.

Vrishali is also the co-founder and Creative Director at Therefore Design, a ten-year-old award-winning, a multi-disciplinary design studio with a diverse team of thirty-five.
