ABOUT THE HERITAGE TOUR BY ALPHAPRENEUR:

It is an initiative to connect and expose people from different walks of life to hidden places in the Nation which carries our rich heritage. It involves interaction between travellers to an extent that when they come back from the tour, they become friends for life. It provides exposure to cultural diversity, experiencing local food & lifestyle, doing adventures, trekking and exploring out hidden locations while also developing an understanding of local business, initiatives, economies which might pave way for fruitful and meaningful collaborations in future.

ITINERARY:

DAY 0 - 12TH JULY - LEAVE FROM RAIPUR

DAY 1 - 13TH JULY - CULTURAL TRIP I TRADITIONAL ART AND CRAFT EXPERIENCE AT NARYANPUR AND KONDAGAON

Early morning, in Narayanpur, meet the traditional artisan from Wooden and Bamboo craft. Visit the Ramakrishna Ashram and interact with the Ashram students and teachers. Also, meet with the Hill Madiya tribes from that region. At Kondagaon experience and be a part of the making of the traditional craft – Belmetal and Wrought Iron at Kondagaon. Work with the local community people and see how the indigenous people of Bastar are still adopting the process which was there at the time of Harrapan civilization while crafting their art. Stay at Narayanpur/ Kondagaon/Jagdalpur
 

DAY 2 - 14TH JULY - CELEBRATE I THE FAMOUSGONCHA FESTIVAL, WATERFALLS & ADVENTURE CAMP

Early morning visit to Kanger Valley National Park and early morning swim/fun at one of the most sought waterfall of Chhattisgarh – Tirathgarh. The stream of mungabahar cascades down and form seven waterfalls. Visit a tribal Haat, the ambience of this market is clearly pre-market, unscarred by the globalization or the vanity of brands and meet with the Dhurwa tribes. The Haat is truly a social foundation that binds Adivasi communities together. In the afternoon, embrace the culture by witnessing the famous Goncha festival of Bastar. The Goncha Festival is also popularly known as the Chariot Festival because it is celebrated at a time when the Hindus celebrate Rath Yatra. There are several customs that are associated with this Chhattisgarh Festival. Goncha is actually a kind of fruit.

The tribal people make a pistol using tukki or bamboo. As is evident, it is just a mock weapon that is constructed by them to follow the tradition of the tribe. The fruit Goncha is likewise used as a bullet. They use the pistol and the bullet, actually a bamboo stick cut in the shape of a pistol and a fruit to strike each other. The intention is not to hurt each other but to just be a part of a mock encounter. It is a source of unlimited joy for them. They find it very thrilling and exciting. By the time of Goncha festival also, visit Danteswari temple and Jagdalpur Palace and get the glimpses of Kingdom of that era. The hectic day will end with the bonfire at the base camp at majestic Chitrakote waterfalls. Base camp at Chitrakote Adventure Camps, (Traditional Bastar Food and Bonfire)

DAY 3 - 15TH JULY - THE HISTORICAL TOUR

Early morning trekking to the unexplored Bastar which no one knows, walk to the grudges of Indravati river from the lush green forest region. Do the adventure boat ride at Chitrakote waterfalls (Depends on the flow of water, if more rains then it may get cancel) Visit the thousand-year-old Narayanpal Temple, built by the Nagavanshi dynasty. Visit the Unexplored waterfalls Mehndri Ghumar waterfalls, Tamda Ghumar waterfalls with its spectacular valley with the packed lunch. Visit the tribal market of Bastar, enjoy the cockfight. In the evening see off for Raipur
