Event Information
What: Understanding and Observing sky with eye & instruments,
setting up the tent,
Campfire, tips about the camping.
Who: Anyone who is curious about the night sky and wished to know more but never got a chance to understand. One who want to learn the basic of camping techniques, understand the sky, direction finding using stars and fun. If you are bored with your current routine life, then join us to just chill and relax…
When: 18 April 2015 to 19 April 2015. (Check the Schedule below for more details)
Aim:
* To learn the basic techniques of Camping.
* Understanding the sky and location of stars.
* To learn the technique of finding directions using stars.
* Setting up and using the Astronomical Telescope.
* Setting up the cameras and other devices for Star Gazing.
* Learning the techniques to capture the photos of dim objects (like stars, MilkyWay etc.)
* And Fun with friends…
Participants need:
2 liter water bottle(2 bottles of 1 liter each),
snacks (like biscuits, mixture etc.. ), Packed Lunch (For Saturday while
traveling in bus), 1 pair of shoes and socks, 1 pair of extra
cloths(just for
backup), Handkerchief, personal medicines, one cap and 1 bag.Campfire, tips about the camping.

Saturday 18th April :-
• 11.30 hrs to 12.00
hrs Reporting at pickup location.
• 12.15 hrs Bus will
start from base location; head toward Junner.
• 14.30 – 15.00 hrs Break
for the refreshment.
• 15.00 – 16.00 hrs
Will reach Junner.
• 16.00 – 16.15 hrs
Welcome drinks.
• 16.30 – 17.30 hrs
Tent allocation and Rest.
• 17.30 – 18.30 hrs
Local sightseeing and sunset.
• 18.30 - 20:00 hrs
Phase-I “Introduction to SKY” followed by Q&A.
• 20.00 - 21.00 hrs
Dinner (included in package).
• 21.30 - 00.00 hrs
Phase-II “Introduction & Hands-on to Sky photography and Star Gazing” followed
by Phase-III “Get some Landscape of stars and other heavenly objects”.
Sunday 19th April :-
• 00.30 - 04.00 hrs

• 04.00 – 06.00 hrs
Wakeup call for people interested in seeing MilkyWay Galaxy and capturing some
snaps of the MilkyWay arm.
• 06.30 hrs Wake-up
Call
• 07.00 - 08.00 hrs
refresh & chaya-nasta (included in package).
• 08:00 Leave for Pune.
• 08.00 – 11.30 hrs back with memories and
fun.
**NOTE: Pickup location will be decided after the discussion with trekkers.
