Sonam Kalra and the Sufi Gospel Project this #WeekendLive with Zoom TV & Oaksmith® Gold Glasses

#WeekendLive is a collaborative effort between the leading entertainment channel Zoom TV, and new to India’s very happening music and performances scene, Oaksmith® Gold Glasses (@OaksmithGoldIndia on Facebook & Instagram). As many live shows cancel, platforms like #WeekendLive are pioneering efforts to build a work-from-home culture for the artists, and giving roots to an emerging format for live music with #StayHome – House Concerts.

#WeekendLive leverages the “Live” feature of popular social media platforms like Instagram and Facebook, as some of India’s top talents perform from the safety of their homes, straight to that of their audiences.

This week’s artist, Sonam Kalra, the talented singer and composer has bagged a number of awards due to her versatile and powerful voice which encapsulates certain honesty and sensitivity that is rare to find. She is a musician who has been trained in both Indian and Western traditions of music and is equally adept at both. She has performed at prestigious stages, festivals and venues across 30 countries including The Sydney Opera House and MTV’s Coke Studio.

Sonam has been felicitated with many awards, including the Femina 'Woman of Worth' Award, the Indian Express Devi Award, FICCI YFLO ‘Young Women Achiever’ award for her work in the field of music, and the Global WIN Award for inspiring women worldwide. True to her beliefs, Sonam as a singer, performer or motivational speaker uses her strong voice to speak out on a range of issues from child abuse, women’s rights and animal rights to helping raise money for cancer charities and education for children.
