Social Media Strategy - Things to avoid while planning a strategy

About the speaker - Madhu has been working in the space of content creation and social media marketing for the last two years. She has worked with over 40+ companies and individuals helping them build their social media profiles or designing content for their brand. She works with both corporate clients such as Sonder Connect, Microsoft as well as NGOs and entrepreneurs. She prefers interacting with clients that are doing some great work in their field and who are passionate about growing their businesses and reaching new audiences. She is currently working full time with 6 clients: Bangalore International Center, Hotel for Dogs, Our Organik Tree, Stepevoli, Perenne Cosmetics, and Navgati to build social media strategies that are engaging and aesthetic.

About the workshop - This workshop will cover the basics of social media marketing. We will be discussing how to create different social media strategies depending on the brand and look at what to avoid when planning. We will be looking at different brands, different audiences, and how to maximize your reach to an audience relevant to your brand as well as look at strategies that don't fully work.

What will you learn - You will learn what to look out for when creating a social media strategy for your brand and how to reach the right audience. More importantly this session will focus on tips and tricks of marketing that can be used to boost your page and certain things to be avoided when marketing on a social media platform. We will mostly be covering how to optimize Instagram and Facebook to give you your desired reach and how you can design your page to attract a larger audience.

Who should attend: This workshop is for both students, freelancers, or anyone interested in or working in the area of social media marketing. We will be covering it from the basics so no prior knowledge of social media strategizing is needed.
