ABOUT THE FOUNDER
Payal Verma, founder of The Rover Journal, coming from an architectural background, embarked on a journey of eco-fashion in the midst of pursuing her fashion design course in 2017 at the Indian Institute of Art and Design, Kingston University.
Upon having an epiphany about her ability to regenerate post-consumer waste into something purposeful, which is quintessentially radical, she worked full-throttle about turning her stories into experiences for prospective consumers.
“At The Rover Journal, I am working towards creating a very ethical, minimalistic, and earthy experience for every human out there. It’s not your regular fashion brand.”
Juxtaposing architecture with fashion, she observed spaces and movements in relation to a human body, which aided her with an ideal viewpoint on proportion and personalization, which she has been successfully maneuvering to build the Rover community and shaping perspectives around fashion for better!
“The issues in the fashion industry need to be highlighted and consumers are to be educated and informed about the product they buy; hence, I feel passionate about putting together not just clothes but a wholesome experience aimed towards consumer education, so that every person can make an informed decision about the clothes they wear and the lifestyle they choose. A revolution is on the horizon. I can feel it.”

Hoard your moribund items and get them recovered and personalized, allowing them rebirth in this age of sustainable development.

ABOUT THE WORKSHOP
