Sandhan valley, "The Great Canyon" in the Sahyadri ranges which is a combination of a canyon and a valley. Located in the Ahmednagar district, India, near the famous fort Ratangad. Sandhan valley is undoubtedly The Valley of Shadows.

 

Samrad – A Complete ‘Sahyadri’ Village in Bhandardara region.

 

Attractions:

Camping in the laps of nature.

70 & 40 ft Rappelling in the Valley.

A trek through a Narrow Valley.

Awesome Sky at Night.

Kokankada Cliff in Bhandardara region.

 

Departure: 11:00 p.m. from S. P. College, Tilak Road.

Arrival: 10:30 p.m. At S. P. College, Tilak Road.

 

Itinerary:

 

Previous Night

11:00 p.m. – Departure from S. P. College.

Further Pick-ups - Good Luck Chowk (Deccan), Bremen Chowk (Aundh), Jagtap Dairy (Wakad), Nashik Phata (PCMC)

 

Event Day 1

05:00 a.m. – Reach Samrad (Base village)

Morning Ablutions till the Wee hours.

06:00 a.m. – Breakfast

06:30 a.m. – Trek starts post Introduction & Instructions Round

04:00 p.m. – Complete the trek through the Valley & reach the Base.

Pack -Lunch on the way to the base.

05:00 p.m. - Setup the Campsite.

08:00 p.m. – Dinner

09:30 p.m. - Retire for the day.

 

Event Day 2

 

05:30 a.m. – Wake up call.

06:00 a.m. - Breakfast

06:30 a.m. – Start the Trek through Karol Ghat to Samrad.

11:00 a.m. – Reach Samrad Village.

12:15 p.m. - Lunch

02:00 p.m. - Head Back to Pune.

Visit Lord Amruteshwar Temple on the way back home.

10:00 p.m. – Reach to Starting point in Pune.

 

Fees – INR 2200/-

 

Fee Includes:

• Transport by Non AC High Back Private Vehicle (Pune-Samrad-Pune)

• 2 Breakfasts, 2 Lunch, 1 Dinner, 2 Hi-Tea

• Technical Equipment for Rappelling.
