The Rotary Club of Nigdi-Pune proudly presents the Rotary International Peace Award, a prestigious recognition honouring individuals who dedicate their lives to promoting harmony, spiritual values, and peace in society.
For the Rotary Year 2025–26, the award is being conferred upon BK Shreya of Prajapita Brahma Kumaris Ishwariya Vishwa Vidyalaya, in recognition of her remarkable contribution toward spreading spiritual awareness, positive values, and peace within communities.
Through her inspiring talks, spiritual guidance, and dedicated service, she has been instrumental in nurturing inner transformation and promoting a culture of peace and harmony.
Rotary & Peacebuilding
Rotary International is one of the world’s largest humanitarian service organisations, with over 1.4 million members in 200+ countries. Promoting peace and goodwill is one of Rotary’s core missions.
Rotary believes lasting peace begins at the community level through dialogue, understanding, and service. Through initiatives such as the Rotary Peace Centers and the Rotary Peace Fellowship, Rotary trains leaders in peace and conflict resolution. Since 2002, more than 1,800 Peace Fellows have been trained and are now serving in 140+ countries across governments, NGOs, and international organisations.
Rotary Club of Nigdi–Pune
Established in 1989, the Rotary Club of Nigdi-Pune is an active service club in Pimpri-Chinchwad, near Pune. With 146 members from diverse professions, the club undertakes projects in healthcare, education, rural development, environment, and youth welfare. Guided by Rotary’s motto “Service Above Self,” the club continues to contribute meaningfully to community development and social welfare.
