Join us for the highly anticipated Rising Scholars Premiere Event on Wednesday, January 24, 2024, at 11:00 AM, where we celebrate the power of art and education in overcoming barriers. This exciting event will take place at the Irvine Valley College Performing Arts Center.

This special event will showcase and honor distinguished artists and creators from our community, featuring:

Alberto Lule, a renowned UCI Underground Scholar and talented artist, whose works reflect the profound journey of transformation and resilience.

Jail Guitar Doors, an extraordinary nonprofit organization dedicated to offering musical mentorship to those experiencing incarceration. Their programs highlight the healing power of music and provide a platform for creative expression behind bars.

Playwrights Project, an innovative group that brings to life the compelling plays written by incarcerated playwrights. Their performances offer a unique window into the stories and talents that flourish even within prison walls.
