For the first time in India, Edify Sports has curated a novel cycling route for you in Ladakh region in the Himalayas. Explore the pristine land of Buddhism like never before.

Event Itinerary:

  • Day 1: Leh Arrival
  • Day 2: Acclimatize, Stroll around Leh, Prepare and Briefing on the Itinerary
  • Day 3: Leh to Sumoor, Nubra Valley - 120 Kms
    (56Kms of downhill / 9 hrs approx./ 5,602 Mtrs / 18,390 Ft on Paved/ Unpaved/ Rough Road) 
  • Day 4: Sumoor to Siachen Base Camp and back to Sumoor - 166 km 
    (Flat Ride/ Easy Climb / 83 Kms one way/ 8 hrs approx on Paved roads mostly) 
  • Day 5: Sumoor to Turtuk - 108 Km
    Flat ride/ Rolling / Easy Climb / 6 hrs approx. on Paved Road mostly 
  • Day 6: Turtuk to Hunder - 80 Kms 
    Flat/ Rolling/ Mild downhill / 4 hours approx. 
  • Day 7: Hunder to Leh - 120 km 
    Steep Climb/ Downhill / 8-9 hrs approx. 
  • Day 8: Departure

Note:

  • Your bicycle should be only MTB cycles, with gears (No road bikes, hybrid bikes, city bikes, touring bikes); should have hydraulic brakes & a front suspension.
  • The list things to be carried by cyclists shall be shared upon registration.
  • Please check if your Life Insurance policy includes the clause of death by Adventure Sports. If not, you need to buy the Adventure Sports Policy separately from any of the providers.
  • The Indemnity form shall be mailed to you separately. Please sign it and send back the soft copy on mail within 2 days. And submit the hard copy before the expedition begins. Non-submission of hard copy shall lead to disqualification of the rider from the expedition and the paid amount shall be forfeited.

In case of cancellation of the event:

- If your participation is cancelled by you, the amount paid shall be forfeited.

- If the event is cancelled by the organisers, the entire amount paid shall be refunded, and any kits distributed shall be taken back.

- If the event is cancelled because of force majeure or Covid restrictions, 15% of the amount paid shall be deducted and the rest shall be refunded.

  • Siachen Base Camp opened for tourism 
    The base camp of Siachen glacier, the world's highest and coldest battlefield, was opened for domestic tourists on the occasion of World Tourism Day, in September 2021. Read news on TOI here. 
  • About Siachen Base Camp

  • Until 2010, civilian tourists were permitted only in the Nubra Valley up to Panamik. Since 2010 tourist have been permitted in the Nubra Valley up to Turtuk and beyond to Tyakshi near the LAC; both of these villages were captured from Pakistan by India in Indo-Pakistani War of 1971. 
  • Since 2003, the area has been largely peaceful.
