Rajgad (Ruling Fort) is a hill fort situated in the Pune district of Maharashtra, India. Formerly known as Murumdev, the fort was the capital of the Maratha Empire under the rule of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj for almost 26 years, after which the capital was moved to the Raigad Fort. Treasures discovered from an adjacent fort was used to completely build and fortify the Rajgad Fort.[citation needed]

Previous Night

11:00 p.m. – Departure from S. P. College.

Further Pick-ups: Deccan, Nal Stop, Rajaram Bridge, Vadgaon Phata

 

Event Day 1

02:30 a.m. – Reach Pali Village (Base Village) 

03:00 a.m. – Start the Trek after Introduction & Instructions Round

05:00 a.m. – Reach Padmavati Temple. 

06:00 a.m. – Breakfast. 

07:00 a.m. – Start the Trek towards Torna Fort through Sanjivani Machi

09:00 a.m. – Small Break on the way.

12:00 noon – Pack Lunch

Continue Trek.

05:30 p.m. – Reach Mengai Temple atop Torna Fort

06:00 p.m. – Enjoy the Sunset

07:00 p.m. – Campfire Starts

09:00 p.m. – Dinner

 

Campfire continues (‘Early to Bed’ people can choose to call it a day by 10:00 p.m.)

 

Event Day 2

06:00 a.m. – Wakeup call & time for morning Ablutions.

07:30 a.m. – Breakfast

08:00 a.m. – Start Descending Torna Fort.

10:00 a.m. – Reach the Base.

01:00 p.m. – Reach back to the Starting point. 

 

Fees – INR 2200/- per head

• Transport by Non AC High Back Private Vehicle (Pune-Pune)

(Food will be basic village Food / Packed Food according to the availability)
