Quilling (or paper filigree) is an art form that involves the use of strips of paper that are rolled, shaped, and glued together to create amazing designs. Quilling starts with rolling a strip of paper into a coil and then pinching the coil into shapes that can be glued together.
Some people believe that quilling was started in China after the invention of paper, others from ancient Egypt, whilst others think the craft had its origins in the 13th century.
The workshop shall be led by the amazing Paper Illustrator - Swetha Srinivasan, founder of the ConfessionoftheheART, from its name, was started to appreciate the little things and moments in everyday life. Swetha's creations focuses on memory recreation (it can be a photograph or even undocumented memories) and story telling through dioramas.
At this workshop you'll learn the basic techniques of quilling. Using these techniques and different sized paper, you could create 3D miniatures and abstract art, among many things.
You get to take home everything you make at the end of the course.
