Customizing QGIS with Python

Are you a QGIS user who wanted to learn programming but don't know where to start? Do you want to make the transition from being a GIS specialist to a GIS developer? This full-day workshop will help you jump-start the journey. 

Spatial Thoughts is offering a QGIS.certified course that teaches you how to customize QGIS using the Python API. This workshop is intended for users who are familiar with QGIS and want to learn how to use programming techniques to build custom scripts, functions and plugins. Basic Python knowledge is preferred, but not required.

This is a full-day workshop that will cover the following topics

• Introduction to Python
• Introduction to PyQt and PyQGIS APIs
• Customizing the QGIS Interface
• Writing custom expression functions
• Writing custom processing scripts
• Building a processing plugin
• Building a GUI plugin

About Certification:

Spatial Thoughts is the first and only QGIS.org certified training organization in India. All participants who complete this workshop will receive an official employer-verifiable certificate from QGIS.org. Cost of each certification is €20 (~1500 INR) and is included in the ticket cost.

Refund policy:

• 50% of the ticket amount will be refunded if canceled 15-days before the training.
• No refunds if you cancel within 15-days of the training date.
• In the unlikely event of the training getting canceled or moved to a different date, the participants will be provided a 100% refund.
