Aashna writes songs about the worlds we wander through, toeing the thin tightrope between daydreams and reality before diving into everything that was, is, and could never be.
Her voice carries nostalgia, warmth, and urgency; reflecting love, loss, and a million other fleeting thoughts she grasps at before they vanish back into the fabric of the world. Her stories range from the joys of falling in love to the aftermath of a painful breakup, unrequited queer love, longing to change the world, and of course, the ever present theme in every adult’s life, finding yourself and knowing that you’ll be okay in the end. An award-winning Berklee artist, she draws from influences like dodie, Corinne Bailey Rae and Taylor Swift to create intimate yet cinematic worlds in sound.
With her lingering melodies and evocative lyrics, Aadya Jaswal brings the comfort of the familiar and the darkness of the unexplored into conversation with each other. Since her debut release, “Aisha” in 2023, Aadya has established herself indelibly in the music scene. Her debut album, “Sanctuary”, which came out in March 2025 has earned acclaim for its honesty and vivid imagery, and gotten full features in The Indian Music Diaries, The Morning Standard and more. She brings the honesty and soul of her music to life in her live performances – with two country tours under her belt and opening acts for seasoned indie artists like Ankur Tewari and Dot. In this Pride month show, she is playing unreleased originals and giving new life to released ones with her band.
