Patient First Summit is India’s premier national platform for advancing compassionate, equitable, patient-centred healthcare — convening healthcare leaders, policymakers, public health experts, pharmaceutical and med-tech innovators, clinicians, researchers and patient advocates for meaningful dialogue and collaborative action.
This unifying theme, “Patient Empowerment for Swasth Bharat,” reframes patient centricity as a national health objective — bringing safety, quality, affordability, shared decision-making, innovation and clinical research together, with the patient’s voice built into each.
The Summit is aligned with the Government of India’s 2026 healthcare priorities — Universal Health Coverage through Ayushman Bharat, Ayushman Arogya Mandirs, the Ayushman Bharat Digital Mission (ABDM), and technology-enabled care — bringing government, providers, industry and patient groups together for collaborative action.
This Edition also features the National Leadership Roundtable — Building India’s Patient-Centric Healthcare — convening leaders and policymakers on 7th September 2026; the Patient Safety for Patient First — National Virtual Panel Series on 17th September 2026, World Patient Safety Day; the Virtual PAG Consultation Round and PAG Capacity-Building Workshop; — each reinforcing the Summit’s patient-centric, patient-first approach.
It also strengthens TENxCARE, IHW Council’s original framework for people-centred, patient-first care, and marks the release of The Purple Book — real patient case studies from across India — alongside a new National Charter on Patient Centricity, and Care Connect Zones, each built around the patient’s voice.
