Parasailing is a popular aero sport amongst youngsters, adventure enthusiasts as well as office-goers. Parasailing or parascending, is a recreational activity where a person glides through the air attached to a specially designed parachute, known as a parasail while being towed by a vehicle. The fun part is the truly magical aerial view and the momentary sense of flying up in the air. The flight distance can go up to 1 kilometre. Duration depends on weather conditions(wind speed and direction) and body weight of the participant. The activity is suitable for beginners as well as experienced. Before the start of the activity, the experienced guides and instructors will introduce you to the safety measures and instructions about flying.
Parasailing can be done both as SOLO LAUNCH (SINGLE PERSON) and TANDEM LAUNCH(TWO PERSONS)
The event will be normally conducted on the Tusedays, Thursdays, Saturdays, Sundays & Holidays between 6:30 AM to 5.30 PM based on the weather conditions. In case the participant is in groups of more than 10 then the same can be carried out on other weekdays too.
What is parasailing?
Parasailing or parascending, is a recreational activity where a person is towed behind a vehicle while attached to a specially designed parachute, known as a parasail.
How high up will I go?
You will fly in the range of 50 to 150 feet above the ground.
Can I use my camera while I’m up in the air?
While camera is not allowed at the airport, you can take a mobile phone with you, but at your own discretion. We are not responsible for damaged or lost equipment.
Do I need any prior experience or be physically fit to take part in the activity?
No, you only need to meet the specified height and weight requirements. No skills or experience is necessary. Just sit back, relax and let our experienced crew do the work to get you air born. The activity is not recommended for pregnant women, people with heart/ respiratory problem and claustrophobia.
How safe is this activity?
Parasailing accidents are extremely rare. Your safety is our first priority! We have flown thousands and thousands of people and have maintained a 100% safety record since we started. All of our pilots are very experienced. The activity adheres to international safety standards.
Is parasailing scary?
Actually, it’s quite the opposite. Parasailing is very serene and peaceful. Because the take-offs and landings are slow and gradual, you don’t have to worry about having a frightening experience. The obvious exception would be persons with a strong fear of heights, in which case flying from a parachute might not be recommended!
Can I fly with someone?
Absolutely! In fact, we think it's best to share in the spectacular views with someone by your side. Most people in most conditions can sit side by side (tandem). Restrictions apply. When asked, please be sure to tell the crew your correct weight. Weather, wind, and weight of each flyer are all factors that play a part in the piolt's decision on single or tandem.
Do I have to hold on?
No! The crew will ask you to hold on for takeoff and landing, but you are not holding yourself in the chute. The harness does all the work for you! Just sit back and relax.
Is there an age requirement?
Yes. Generally, child below 05 yrs age may not be able to do due to minimum weight and height requirement, although participants under the age of 18 must have a parent or guardian sign their liability waiver prior to parasailing. If the flyer is less than minimum weight, they will simply fly tandem with another parasailer, with their combined weight not to exceed roughly 100 kg. Weight requirements may change on any given day or time due to the wind conditions. Again, safety is always our number one priority.
Do you accept walk-ups? / Do you accept reservations?
Reservations are almost always necessary. Our time slots fill up early, so book your trip early so you don't have to wait for your turn. Resereved clients gets priority over walk-ups.
What happens if the tow line breaks?
We inspect, trim, and maintain the tow line daily in order to prevent breaks, and if operating in the recommended wind limits the tow line should be strong enough to support far more stress than it is subjected to. In more than fifteen years we has never had or seen a line break during parasailing. Nevertheless, in the unlikely event that this happens, the participants will slowly and safely descend into the ground.
