Rajmachi:

Rajmachi (Udhewadi) is a small village in the rugged mountains of Sahyadri in Maharashtra. The fortification at Rajmachi consists of two forts, namely Shrivardhan Fort and Manaranjan Fort. Rajmachi Fort is a popular trekking destination. It is a very famous fort located near famous hill stations of Maharashtra, Lonavala and Khandala. Historically, Rajmachi fort was a strategic fort to control Borghat (ghat between Khopoli and Khandala on Mumbai-Pune route) which was a historical trade route. The fort played a strategic role in the First Anglo-Maratha War. Rajmachi Fort has been declared as a protected monument.

Itinerary:

Day 1: Saturday

Meeting Point Lonavala Railway station Platform No. 1 near ticket counter i.e Exit Gate

Mumbai People Please catch 11009 Sinhgad Express.

03.00 PM Thane

03.28 PM Kalyan

04.08 PM Karjat

05.00 PM Lonavala

06.15 PM Move to Waterfall point by private Transport

06:30 PM Hike towards Rajmachi base village

08.30 PM Reach Rajmachi and freshen up.

Enjoy Fireflies in the Jungle till dinner time.

09.00 pm Dinner.

Post Dinner again night walk, explore campsite & fun games

11.00 PM Retire for the day

Day 2: Sunday

05:00 am Wakeup call and freshen up.

06:00 am Trek to Shreevardhan for Sunrise.

08:00 am Back to base village and enjoy breakfast

08:30 am Leave for Kondana Caves

11:30 am Reach Kondana Caves and explore and have brunch

12:30 am Towards Kondane Village

02:00 pm Kondana Village

03: 00 pm Karjat Railway Station
