Note:- This trek is not for faint hearted and beginners.

About:

A cave fort in the Sahyadri ranges, accessible from Lonavla, Karjat, and Pune, is genuinely one of the offbeat treks in Maharashtra. A cave broached in a vertical wall is home of Bhairavnath temple, which offers the astounding views of surrounding jungle and so many famous spots in Lonavala like Rajmachi, Duke's nose, etc. A trek to Dhak Bahiri Caves is a surprise on every step due to changing terrains from grasslands to plateau walk to dense forest and ending with semi-technical vertical rock patch. Steel wires, fixed ropes have been attached, and steps have been carved in the rock for the safe climb to the caves.

5.40 pm - Byculla

5.47 pm - Dadar

5.54 pm - Kurla

5.58 pm - Ghatkopar

6.13 pm - Thane

6.26 pm - Dombivli

6.36 pm - Kalyan

7.28 pm - Karjat

Trek Plan -

14th Dec, 19 - Saturday Night - Day 1

Meeting Point will be Karjat Platform No. 1 Ticket Counter till 7.50 pm

08.00 pm - We leave from private transport to Sandshi

08.50 pm - Reach Sandshi

09.00 to 9.30 pm - Have Dinner at Sandshi Vllage

09.45 pm - Hike towards Dhak Bahiri

11.30 pm - Setup the tents and Retire for the day

15th Dec, 19 - Sunday - Day 2

05.45 am - Wake up call and get fresh

06.30 am - Start Trek towards Cave (Climbing with rope and safety equipments and if possible rappelling will also takes place)

Max 12.00 pm - Return to base

01.30 pm - Return to Sandshi

02.30 pm - Return to Karjat

Cost Includes :

Transportation from Karjat to Sandshi and back to Karjat,

1 Veg Dinner, 1 Breakfast, Equipment & Expertise Charges and Certificate of Participation

A Water Bottle ( must)

Bedding and covering - (Must)

Torch with extra cell (Must)

Windcheater , Camera, Cell Phone (Optional)

Some ready to eat food. Plum cakes, Biscuits etc.

Medicine those if u require usually (Optional)

Extra Pair of clothes,

Good trekking shoes (Preferably ACTION),

A haversack to put all these things.
