NISARG RUN

Nisarg Swasthya Sansthan is a registered NGO, working for the health & cleanliness in tune with Swachh Bharat Abhiyan. We follow the laws of Nisarg – mother nature, with the revered principle of Apne Liye Jiye To Kya Jiye… in our heart & KARMA.

As most of our activities at present are around Powai Lake, we are closely monitoring the lake and we feel sorry to say that Powai Lake has been polluted to the stage that many a parts have started stinking. The whole lake can be seen covered with green Alage, not allowing oxygen to be absorbed in the water. The Aquatic life is slowly dying. Migratory birds have stop descending in this lake and all these are clear cut symptoms of a dying lake. If immedi- ate attention is not invited to this lake, then time is not far away that this lake will be a dead lake filled with stinking water and a source of a number of diseases to all those living around.

Therefore in order to create awareness in the Public about the pathetic condition of this lake, and to bring all the entities residing around Powai lake on one platform, we have again decided to organise 7th NISARG RUN-2024 SAVE THE LAKE, 10 Km, 5 Km & 3 Km run on JVLR along Powai Lake on 01th December 2024 from 05.30 am, starting and finishing at the Powarwadi Visarjan Ghat, near IIT, Powai Lake. We are expecting approx. 5000 participants to take part in this race.
