Neram Art Festival 2026, presented by Mahad Productions, is a seven-day showcase of Chennai’s performing arts scene, taking place from April 26 to May 2.

This year marks five years of Mahad building spaces for artists through curated shows, open mics, workshops, and conversations that go beyond performance. Neram stands as a reflection of that journey. It brings together artists who have shaped, and been shaped by, this community over time.

Across the week, the stage will host a wide range of forms and voices. Expect poetry that lingers, storytelling rooted in lived experience, indie music and familiar covers, stand-up that finds humour in the everyday, and prose that stays with you long after the evening ends. Each day carries its own rhythm, with line-ups that shift in tone and texture.

More than a festival, Neram is built on the idea that art should remain accessible, shared, and sustained by the people who create it. In that spirit, all profit from the festival will be distributed equally among the artists.
