Visit the Neelkanth Mahadev Temple with ease from Rishikesh. On this tour, you will reach the temple with round-trip transportation along with trekking to 2 mysterious and beautiful caves.

Encircled by the hills of Manikoot, Vishnukoot and Brahmakoot, Neelkantha Temple is to be found at a height of 1330 meters located about 22 km from Laxman Jhula Bridge by road. The temple is also a prominent pilgrimage site for Lord Shiva devotees. Positioned at the union of Madhumati and Pankaja rivers, Neelkantha Temple is placed between the picturesque hills of Uttaranchal.

Jhilmil and Ganesh Gufa (Cave) are wonders of nature near the Neelkanth Mahadev Temple. They are well located inside a dense jungle within peace and solitude. You will find a bunch of Sadhus near the cave chanting prayers in the evening. The caves are about 4 km from Temple. The jungle around caves is known as Manikut Kajri Van. Elephants mostly live within these jungles. These caves are off-beat so very few people visit this place.

We will have short meditation session in the subtle and blissful energy of Ganesh Gufa, within the nature, at very calm location.

Itinerary

Meeting Time and Place : 8 am at The Art Bliss Hostel Near Laxman Jhula
Reach Neelkanth Mahadev Temple by Private Cab. From there, we walk up some stairs to get to the top of the temple.
Visit Temple then we will start trekking towards Jhilmil Gufa/Cave which is an hour or less trek from Temple.
Have Breakfast with Music in the hills, midst of nature
Explore Jhilmil Gufa for a while then head towards Ganesh Gufa which is pretty close to Jhilmil Gufa
Explore Ganesh Gufa and then short Meditation Session for those who are interested. Others can chill or have fun.
Walk Back to Neelkanth Temple
Return Back to The Art Bliss Hostel through private vehicle by 4 PM
