Monsoon Trek to Rajmachi

Rajmachi is one of the famous trek destinations in Sahyadri mountains and one of the favorite destination for every trekker and beginners. Fort stands at a height of 2750 feet overlooking the Bhorghat Pass (a major old trade route during Maratha empire). This fort built by Shivaji in the 17th century. You can spend lots of time over the fort by exploring twin forts Manoranjan & Shrivardhan. Visit Bhairavnath Temple, Mahadev Temple & Rajmachi lake. There are 2 routes to reach Rajmachi, first from Lonavala and other being Karjat route. From Lonavala partly by jeep and then walk up to Udhewadi which is approximately 6 km.

Itinerary:

Day 1:

From Mumbai, you can board: Hyderabad Express

• 12:45 CST

• 12:57 Dadar

• 13:37 Kalyan

• 14:18 Karat

• 15:07 Lonavala

15:30 pm- We meet at Lonavala Station (Platform 1- Ticket Counter) excited for the upcoming Trek.. Start moving towards Rajmchi in a private vehicle.

16:30 pm- Reach Y fork junction and start a two hours jungle trail towards Rajmachi village, Enjoy the experience of walking through the jungle with many springs on the way.

18:30 pm- The jungle trail ends as we reach our base village Rajmachi where some delicious typical Maharashtrian food made on chulhas would be waiting for us.

21:30 pm- dinner would be followed by a round of games, Music, ghost stories and many more fun activities. Take a walk in the jungle.

00:00 pm- We call of the day to wake up early in the mornings, as we wouldn't want to miss the mesmerizing view of the sunrise from the Shrivardhan fort.

Day 2:

05:30 am- Move towards Shrivardhan fort, one of the twin forts used to keep a watch over Lonavala and Karjat region. Reach the pinnacle, click pictures, capture these memories for a lifetime (one of the best sunrises you'll ever experience) and start moving toward the base village.

08:30 am- At Rajmachi village we refresh ourselves with Tea and breakfast and move to visit the Udaysagar Lake and ancient Shiv Temple and spend some time there to enjoy the peace and tranquility in the air of Rajmachi.

11:30 am- We have the last round of the delicious meal (Lunch) and start our 2hrs walk to Y folk junction where our ride would be waiting for us.

 02:00 pm- begin our journey towards Lonavala in a private vehicle. It’s time to say goodbye to each other, as we leave with new friends made, new bonds created and loads of memories to cherish for Life.

• Torch With Extra Batteries (Must)

• Blanket/Sleeping Bags

• Shoes and an Extra pair of Footwear

• Extra Pair of clothes

• Water (At least 2 Litres)

• Personal Medicines

• Food as Plum cakes, biscuits, Banana and Electral Powder.

FAQs

Q. Are washrooms available during the trek?

A. Yes, washrooms would be available at the base village Udhewadi, at a local villagers house.

Q. Is the Trek suitable for 1st timers, Kids and women?

A. Yes, the grade is easy and suitable for Kids, women and first timers.

Rules:

- Camp leader’s decision will be final and binding.

- The Hikers Club reserves all the right to change/deviate/cancel the plans without prior notice.

- Please do not carry or wear any valuables, ornaments, jewelry, etc. If carried, then we Do Not take any liability for the same.

- The outing has a strict NO Smoking/Drug/Alcohol Policy.

- All the timings mentioned above are tentative.

Cancellation and Refund applicable on the whole tour cost :

• If cancellation is done prior to 10 days of outing 75% will be refunded.

• If done prior to 5 days of outing 50% will be refunded

• After that, no refund will be provided.
