Conceived as a first-of-its-kind theatrical mehfil, Mere Humnafas brings together live music, storytelling, classical poetry and contemporary reflection in a form rarely seen on stage.

Ghazals made immortal by Begum Akhtar, Farida Khanum and Iqbal Bano weave through stories, poetry and moments of reflection. The words of Ghalib, Faiz, Mir, Bashir Badr and others drift in and out of the music. Shakespeare’s sonnets find new life in Hindustani. Centuries collapse into a single shared breath.

Performed with an intimate acoustic soundscape of voice, keyboard, and guitar, Mere Humnafas unfolds like a journey that has shaped us — the loves we held onto, the mistakes we made, the paths we chose, turning us into the people we are. Nostalgia lingers in every note. Regret softens into gratitude. Joy and sorrow arrive hand in hand. It is the feeling of looking back and smiling through tears, of recognising fragments of yourself in stories and songs that have travelled across generations.
