This is a 4 day Singing Workshop scheduled for Beginners to Intermediate level music students who want to understand basics of Indian Music, improve their Swar, Taal, understand how to do self practice, answer their common questions and achieve confidence in singing.
Note - Students should be able to match voice with the Teacher during the session. Sessions will be held in Pitch C.

- Vocal Warm up - 20 min
- Introduction to 7 fundamental notes (Sa, re, ga ma) - 30 min
- Break - 10 min
- Visualization of the notes, Match the pitch - 20 min
- Learn an easy fun sargam song - 25 min
- Q&A (Chat based) & Key take aways - 15 min
Day 2 (8th Feb, Sun)
- Warm up and Breathing- 20 min
- What is ABCDEFG Pitches- 15 min
- Understanding Scale - 10 min
- Introduction to 12 notes - 30 min
- What is Thaat, Raag, Naad, Shruti - 30 min
- Break - 10 min
- Introduction to Raag Yaman - 30 min
- Learn a song based on Raag Yaman - 30 min
- Q&A (only chat based) - 15 min
Day 3 (11th Feb, Wed)
- Warm up and Breathing- 20 min
- Understanding Rhythm - Beats, Tempo, Basic exercises - 30 min
- Palta on Rhythms - 30 min
- Break - 10 min
- Introducing Indian Taalas (Rhythm Patterns) (Demo only) - Teen Taal, Keherwa, Dadra, Rupak - 20 min
- Learn Keherwa Taal and a song in Keherwa Taal - 40 min
Day 4 (13th Feb, Fri)
- Warm up and Breathing- 20 min
- Understanding Meend, Exercises - 30 min
- Understanding Khatka, Exercises - 30 min
- Break - 10 min
- General Questions - How to improve Range, Stability, Weakness, Breathing, Texture, Power, Confidence, Plan a Daily Riyaaz - 30 min
- Sing a song together and Wrap up - 30 min
What is new?
- This time the participants will be able to access the VIDEO RECORDINGS of all sessions for 2 weeks after the LAST WORKSHOP DAY (till 24th Feb) on Google Drive folder which will be shared to them by providing access to their gmail ID.
These recordings will be NOT DOWNLOADABLE only viewable.
- Few Downloadable Practice Audios will be shared for self practice.
Requirement:
1. Tanpura from Youtube or App is required to be played at participant's end for practicing during Practical Session. Common Pitch will be C.
2. Set up Zoom on your laptop or desktop before the session.
