Masters Basketball League, Edition 10 - Pune

We have scheduled the 10th edition of our Masters Basketball League, Pune on April 19-20-21 and April 26-27-28, 2024.

This early intimation is to help plan your travel calendar. The tournament has been very popular and become competitive as well over a period of time. It’s always a pleasure to see the young people joining and the rest blooming to glory. We urge all of you to participate in numbers and also lend us your skills and capabilities in organizing and making our meet more memorable.

Age Criteria:

Boys: 35 to 60 years

Girls: 30 to 60 years

Entry fee: INR  2000/- Only

Last date of registration: 25 Feb, 2024

Format and Rules:

1. Matches will be of 28 Mins full court. 4 quarters of 7 minutes each.
2. Each player will play minimum 1 quarter. 1 women player in the playing five. If a team has 9 players it will be a Captain himself or his decision who plays repeat quarter.
3. In the 3rd quarter women players will play 3 and a half minutes each with mutual understanding. Captain can decide about other 4 players of his choice.
4. In last quarter Captain can give his best 5 players with or without women player.
5. If the score is tied after the regular time 5 minutes extra time will be given to get the result. If the score is tied even after extra time then 5 free shots will be awarded to each team. Captain has to nominate 5 players from his team for this shoot out. One player, one free shot. The team scores maximum wins that match.
6. First 3 quarters each team gets 1 timeout. Last quarter each team gets 2 timeouts.
7. Personal fouls - 3, team fouls - 4.
8. First two quarters there will be no substitutions allowed except injuries. 3rd and 4th quarters no restriction on substitutions.
9. Teams have to report 20 Mins before the match. Any delays because of specific team other team will be awarded 2 free throws before starting the match.
10. All the BFI rules will be followed.
11. Ball no 7 will be used for matches.
12. Timings and schedule of the matches will be strictly followed.

Terms and conditions:

1. The responsibility of medical fitness of the participant resides with the participant only.
2. The organizers, sponsors or any entity associated with the organizers will NOT be responsible for any theft, damage, and physical injury happening during the event. The event organizers will take care to provide first aid assistance as fast as they can in case of emergency.
3. The participant agrees that their participation in this event is voluntary. Furthermore, the participant agrees to assume any risk associated with participating in the event, and releases the organizers from any and all claims of loss or damage that may arise during their participation. Such releases are without limitation, and include attorneys' fees, personal injury, property damage, and any other losses or damages suffered by the participant.
4. The participant agrees to indemnify and hold the organizers harmless against any and all claims of loss or damage.
5. The participant hereby warrants that they are physically fit and capable of participating in event without undue risk.
6. The organizers maintains the right to deny your participation in this event if they deem that your participation would risk loss or damage to any party.
7. All participants are required to obey the rules and regulations laid by the organizers. Non-compliance to the rules will result in disqualification.
