Terms and Conditions

This Event (as defined below) is subject to the following terms & conditions (“T&C”), which may be updated by Bennett, Coleman & Co. Ltd. (“BCCL”), having its Registered Office at The Times of India Building, Dr. D. N. Road, Fort, Mumbai - 400 001 and Corporate Office at 9-10, Express Building, Bahadurshah Zafar Marg, New Delhi - 110 102, from time to time, without notice to the Participants (as defined below). The Participant confirms to have read the T&C at jaipurtimesmarathon.in. The Participant is participating in the Event at his/her sole discretion and free will subject to these T&C. The Participation in the Event shall be deemed as an informed and irrevocable acceptance of these T&C by the Participant.

These standard T&C are an electronic record in the form of an electronic contract formed under the Information Technology Act, 2000 and Rules made thereunder and the amended provisions pertaining to electronic documents/records in various statutes as amended by the Information Technology Act, 2000. These T&C do not require any physical, electronic or digital signature. Further, these T&C are in addition to various agreements, terms, privacy policy, terms of use and all other policies of BCCL platform. If you do not agree with these T&C, please do not participate in the Event and access its website.

1. DEFINITIONS:

(a) “Event” shall mean the Event titled as ‘Half Marathon’ to take place on 29th March 2026 at Mahindra World City, Jaipur i.e TOI Presents Mahindra World City Half Marathon, an initiative by Jaipur Times.

(b) “Participant” shall mean the individual who registers for the event on the website and participates in the Event.

(c) “Website” shall mean the website at “www.jaipurtimesmarathon.in”

(d) “Affiliates” of BCCL, means any other person or entity that directly or indirectly through one or more intermediaries, Controls or is Controlled by, or is under common Control with, the specified person or entity.

2. ELIGIBILITY:

(a) Participants must meet the following minimum age criteria on the Event Date (29th March 2026):

• Half Marathon (21.0975 km): 18 years and above

• 10Km Run: 18 years and above

• 5Km : 12 years and above (with guardian consent where applicable)

• 3 Km & 1 Km Fun Run: 5 years and above (with guardian consent where applicable)

(b) For an individual to be considered as an eligible Participant, participants will be required to register on the concerned website with a User ID, password/OTP, filling details, including, but not limited to:-

i. Name

ii. Phone number

iii. Email ID

iv. Date of birth (calendar)

v. City/area

vi. Profession/designation

vii. Emergency contact number

viii. Blood group

ix. Any medical condition

x. Passport size image

xi. Government photo ID card

xii. Checkbox – I accept the T&C and agree to receive communication/promotional messages from TOI

(c) By entering your mobile number on the Site while registering for an account, User hereby gives consent to BCCL and its associate vendors, partners to receive alerts (including but not limited to promotional materials, brochures, pamphlets, newsletters), contact details, promotional SMS, and promotional calls. If the User has made any registration with the Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (“TRAI”) in relation to their registry for Do Not Disturb (DND) / Do Not Call (DNC), the User specifically waives off the provision relating to receiving any promotional telephonic calls or text messages which may be sent to the User by BCCL. In case User does not wish to receive these messages on his/her mobile number, he/she shall write to info.jaipurmarathon@timesofindia.com

(d) You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of the particulars of your account and are fully responsible for all activities that occur under your account. By registering, you agree to the following terms in addition to any other specific terms which shall be posted at an appropriate location of the Site. Each registration is for a single individual user only for personal use of the Site. To access these services, you will be asked to login using OTP through your mobile. Therefore, we do not permit any of the following:-

• Any other person other than you accessing your account.

• Any part of the Site being cached in proxy servers and accessed by individuals who have not registered with Site as users.

• Access through a single account being made available to multiple users on a network

(e) Event Date and Duration:

The Event shall be held on 29 March 2026. BCCL reserves the right to terminate or amend the date or duration at its sole discretion.

3. EVENT RULES AND CONDUCT

(a) Participants must follow all event guidelines including:

• Race bib must be clearly visible on the chest

• Follow the marked route and instructions from race officials

• Timing chip rules must be followed

(b) Prohibited Items

            The following are not allowed on the race course:

• Bicycles

• Roller skates

• Pets

• Drones (unless authorized)

• Weapons

• Alcohol or illegal substances

(c) Participants must maintain sportsmanship and environmental responsibility. Littering may result in penalties.

(d) Timings, Results & Awards

• Official race timing will be managed by an authorized timing partner.

• Any protest regarding results must be submitted:

o Within 30 minutes of provisional on-site results, or

o Within 24 hours via official email communication

• The decision of BCCL will be final and binding.

(e) Race, Kit, Baggage & Services

• Race kits will be distributed at the announced Expo / Kit Collection Venue

• Participants must present and showcase registration confirmation and valid Photo ID.

• Additional Provisions:

o T-shirt sizes are subject to availability

o Medals will be awarded to official finishers within cut-off time

o Cloakroom facilities may be available but are used at participant's own risk.

4. PARTICIPATION & OTHER TERMS:

(a) Participants by registering for the event confirms that they are medically fit to participate in the event. BCCL may request a fitness certificate if required, and reserves the right to deny participation on account of safety reasons.

(b) Registration: will be considered complete only after:

• Submission of accurate participant details

• Successful payment of the applicable registration fee

(c) Participation fee (with GST as may be applicable) will be as displayed on the registration platform. Payment gateway charges, if applicable, will be borne by the participant.

(d) Once the registration is confirmed, participation fees is non-refundable, except where required by applicable law. Administrative or payment gateway charges may apply where refunds are permitted.

(e) Bib Transfers: Race Bib transfers are not allowed unless officially announced by BCCL. Unauthorized transfers may lead to disqualification.

(f) Category Changes: Participants may request category changes before the announced cut-off date, subject to availability and applicable fee differences.

(g) Deferrals: Participation deferrals to future events are not guaranteed. If permitted by BCCL, separate terms will apply.

(h) BCCL reserves the right to: modify the race route; change start timings; or adjust event services. These changes may occur for safety, legal, operational, weather-related reasons or any other reasons. In case of force majeure events including but not limited to, natural disasters, government restrictions, or unforeseen circumstances, the event may be postponed or cancelled at the sole discretion of BCCL. Participation credits or rollovers may be offered at BCCL’s discretion.

(i) Health, Safety & Medical Support: Participants acknowledge that running events involve physical exertion and inherent risks and for the same, assistance will be available along the race route. Participants consent to receive first aid, medical treatment, or transportation if required. Participants are also encouraged to maintain personal accident or medical insurance.

(j) The Website may include links to other websites or applications. Such websites or applications are governed by their respective terms and conditions/usage terms, which are beyond our control. Once you leave our servers upon clicking on the links of third-party technology platforms voluntarily opted by the Participant use of the said third party website/their service offerings/products etc. is governed by the separate terms and conditions/agreement which you will enter into with the said third party.

(k) The Participant hereby grants BCCL for perpetuity, by participating in the Event, the worldwide royalty free, right to use, the Participant’s information, as may be provided by the Participant, publish and display Participant’s statements, quotes, still photographs and videos (if any) which may have been captured before or during the Event to be displayed, disseminated, distributed, licensed, sublicensed, stored, archived, cached, adapted, edited or modified, as solely determined by BCCL for advertising, trade, publicity and promotional purposes in any form or media, without notification or approval, all without any payment of consideration.

(l) Pursuant to the foregoing, BCCL shall have worldwide perpetual rights, title and interest in and to said Event and all elements thereof, in any language, illustratively including, but not limited to, its logo, designs, concept, title, songs, music compilation, background score, photographic stills, audio-video footage, banners, boards, sets and intellectual property rights in its property and its goodwill in any form in connection with the Event (collectively, “Event IP”) shall remain the sole and exclusive property of BCCL at all times and the Participant or any third party shall have no claims, monetary or otherwise, against or in respect of the same.

(m) The Participant voluntarily agrees to submit the required documents and personal information to participate in the Event. The Participant voluntarily consents and permit BCCL will use any personal information that the Participant provides in accordance with applicable laws for the purposes of this Event and for any marketing or other purposes. Such personal information may be processed for event registration, timings and results, event communication and marketing updates. BCCL may also share such information(s) with its Affiliates, subscribers, clients, associates, advisors, consultants, third-party healthcare technology platforms, aggregators, vendors, its service providers, subcontractors and agents for the purpose of this Event. The information may also be used by BCCL for:

• recommending various products or services including those of third parties;

• dealing with requests, enquiries and complaints and Event related activities;

• marketing products and services and its analysis;

• abiding with laws and law enforcement/regulatory requests;

(n) BCCL reserves the right to cancel or amend all or any part of the Event and/or these T&C without prior notice in the event of circumstances arising beyond its control that makes it necessary to do so. However, any changes to the T&C or cancellation of the Event, will be updated/posted on website: www. jaipurtimesmarathon.in. It would be the exclusive responsibility of the Participant alone to keep themselves informed as to any changes in these T&C stated for this Event.

(o) Pursuant to the foregoing, you agree that by accessing the Event website, which may be followed by your participation in the Event, you shall not initiate any kind of actions, claims, demands, disputes, liabilities, suits, proceedings, arbitration and/or litigation before competent courts, tribunals and/or authorities, whether to make civil claims for seeking payment of purported damages or by imputing criminal liability flowing from any physical or mental medical conditions, diseases and ailments giving rise to sickness, weakness, side effects, adverse drug reactions, injury, accidents, disability or death due to alleged negligence, incompetence, ineffective treatment, handicap or death, arising out of your access and participation in the Event.

(p) The Privacy Policy located at https://www.jaipurtimesmarathon.in/privacy-policy [PK1.1] shall form an integral part of these T&C.

(q) The Participants have to report at the designated venue at the allotted time and in case the Participant(s) failed to turn up on time, his/her participation may be cancelled as per the sole discretion of BCCL. Further, a government-issued photo ID is mandatory at the time of race kit collection by the participant.

(r) The Event is organized managed and conducted by BCCL, and BCCL shall utilize various media platforms to spread word in the public for this noble cause.

(s) This Event is subject to BCCL's policies and other conditions and all applicable laws.

(t) In the event of any false or misleading information being provided /submitted by the participant, the same may result in cancellation of registration or disqualification of the participant, without any refund.

(u) The Participants shall register on the Website and fill-in the required details. The qualified Participants shall be informed of their selection vide e-mail, SMS or phone call on the contact details provided by them on the registration page at the Website.

(v) Participants and/or winners may be provided with certain goodies at the sole discretion of BCCL.

(w) BCCL does not give any warranty or guarantee concerning the quality, suitability or merchantability of goodies, products (if any) or any such kind of treatment and BCCL or its management, directors, officers, agents, representatives shall not be responsible for or liable (including, but not limited to, the product and service liabilities) for malfunctioning, deficiency and/or defect of any kind in the goodies, products given under this Event or any kind of consequential damages/loss, in any manner whatsoever, that shall have to be taken up directly by the winning Participants with respective sponsors/manufacturers thereof.

(x) Pursuant to the foregoing, BCCL shall not be liable for any defects/inadequacy, quality, manufacturing, customer service or branding issue and/or consumer interest related matters in the merchandise, refreshments, products and services offered as incidentals and/or goodies, prizes received by the Event Participants/winners in lieu of participating in the event and the same would have to be addressed to the respective sponsor/advertiser/service provider/manufacturer directly.

(y) All rights, title and interest, including, but not limited to, the intellectual property rights, in the promotional material(s) and/or images, posts, texts, videos or any such material submitted by the participants shall vest solely and exclusively with BCCL at all times.

(z) Nothing contained herein amounts to a commitment or representation by BCCL to conduct further or other schemes.

(aa) All disputes shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the exclusive courts at Delhi only.

(bb) Images/pictures/photographs displayed in the promotional material for the Event are for reference only.

(cc) Participants’ entering the Event shall be deemed as his/her informed and irrevocable acceptance of these terms and conditions.

(dd) Selected Participants shall not conceal or misrepresent any information during the scrutiny or otherwise, failing which the Participant shall be disqualified for participating in the Event.

(ee) The interpretation of these T&C, rules and regulations and applicable laws for any legal issues shall be considered only in English.

(ff) All the data or information provided to the Participants are provided and displayed by BCCL only to the participants on ‘as-is’ basis. . Participants must consult any registered medical professional on his or her own choice before deciding to participate this Event.

(gg) All contents on the website are the exclusive property of BCCL except the third party content which are licensed to BCCL and/or its affiliates. The software, text, images, graphics, video and audio used on the website belong to or are licensed to BCCL or its subsidiaries and affiliates. No material from the website may be copied, modified, reproduced, republished, uploaded, transmitted, posted or distributed in any form without prior written permission from BCCL. All rights not expressly granted herein are reserved. Unauthorized use of the materials appearing on the website may violate copyright, trademark and other applicable laws, and could result in criminal or civil penalties. You are granted a non-exclusive, non-transferable, personal, limited right to access the website and avail the services provided by BCCL on the website.

(hh) BCCL does not make any warranties, express or implied, with respect to any service, information, data, software, system, functionality, statements, content or products made available on the website. The information contained in the website has been obtained from sources believed to be reliable. The website, and all content, materials, information, software and services provided on the website, are provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. Any information or offerings provided on the Si website te are intended for information and, whilst displayed in good faith, we will not in any circumstances accept responsibility for their accuracy. (jj) Under no circumstances will BCCL be liable in any way for any content, including, but not limited to, inaccurate, false, incomplete, infringement of other’s rights including intellectual property rights, for any errors or omissions in any content, or for any loss or damage of any kind incurred as a result of the use of any content posted or uploaded. Further, under no circumstances, BCCL shall be liable for any unlawful act of the User or its affiliates, relatives, employees, agents including misuse of any data, unfair trade practices, fraud, cyber squatting, hacking and other cyber crimes. In no event shall BCCL be liable for damages of any kind, including without limitation, direct, incidental or consequential damages (including, but not limited to, damages for lost profits, business interruption and loss of programs or information) arising out of the use of or inability to use website, or any information provided thereon, or any claim attributable to errors, omissions or other inaccuracies in the website.

(kk) User agrees to indemnify and hold BCCL, its subsidiaries, affiliates, officers and employees, harmless from any claim, demand or damage, including reasonable attorney’s fees, asserted by any third party due to or arising out of User’s use of or conduct on the website. BCCL reserves the right to disclose any personal information about you and your use of the Si website te including its contents, without your prior permission, if BCCL has a good faith belief that such action is necessary to:

(1) There shall be separate awards for Men and Women unless specified.

(2) All prize amounts are in Indian Rupees (₹) and subject to TDS as per applicable laws.

Prize Money Terms

• Awards are subject to identity, age, and timing verification

• Podium positions are determined by Gun Time; age categories by Net Time unless otherwise announced

• Participants must finish within official cut-off timings

• Anti--doping compliance is mandatory

• Prize money will be disbursed within 45–60 days via bank transfer after submission of PAN, Aadhaar, and bank details.

• TDS will be deducted as per the Income Tax Act.

• In case of tie results, the decision will be made through photo finish or jury decision,

• Protests must be submitted within 30 minutes on-site or within 24 hours via email.

• BCCL reserves the right to withhold or revoke prizes in cases of cheating, bib tampering, unauthorized pacers, or rule violations.
