Laasya Purusha is a new addition to Laasya’s committed calendar. While Laasya Sadhaki celebrates accomplished women who have given back to the society across fields, culminating in classical art performances, Laasya Sambhrama celebrates the rich tapestry of art practitioners of Laasya Academy along with professional artistes across classical genres. Laasya Purusha will celebrate male dancers in classical artforms, those rare spirits in the field that bring their own vigour and aesthetics.
This edition of Laasya Purusha is timed to celebrate Father’s Day. The theme for this year’s event is a concert of father-daughter duo in classical dances. A relation that epitomises affection and the urge to see each other succeed. We are sure we will witness some scintillating performances that will celebrate the theme.
The proceeds of this event will also fund Laasya’s rural outreach programme, ‘Halliyedege Laasya’, an initiative for less privileged rural children and youth to nurture, hone and express their talent in both academic and artistic fields.
