Korean Cuisine Class and Contest to be held in India for the first time

Just like the craze of Hallyu waves, the craze for Korean food is also increasing on the taste buds of Young Delhiites. Delhi’s youth is always ready to try new styles of food, being it a variety in simple Daal-Roti or some continental dish. The food market of Delhi is very big and is full of different types of cuisines. Looking at the fast spreading Korean food fever the Korean Culture Centre hosted an “International Culinary Workshop” which is organized by Agrao-Fishreries and Food Trade Corp. in Banarsidas Chandiwala Institute of Hotel Management and Catering Technology, Kalkaji, New Delh for the students. The workshop will be till 31st July 2016 and the classes to learn the mouthwatering dishes will be from 10:00 A.M to 12:00 P.M. Currently there are more than 30 students who are attending the classes in Banarsidas Institute but for those who are not able to attend the classes there can attend the classes at Korean Culture Centre, Lajpat Nagar, Delhi on every Saturday from 3:00 P.M to 5:00 P.M. The classes are open for all at both the places. The classes in the Banarasidas Institute will be conducted by Korean cuisine Expert Im Chaehong, who is also one of the Chef lecturers in Jeonju University, Creative Culinary Institute of Korea.

The last class of the workshop will be a special class in which the master who will be coming from Korean Food Grand Master Association will teach the students about the essence of Korean cuisine and will also tell the students about the future aspects that they can look upon.

Master Chef Lim Chae Hong said that he is truly enjoying the training session with Indian students as they are very nice and are always ready to learn something new. He also said that he had not expected such a pleasant response. He said he was very happy when he saw more than 30 students in his first class.
