Walk With Us on Roshni Ki Raah

For 15 years, Kat Katha has walked alongside the women and children of GB Road, the Street of Love.

This 15th August, we walk together. Publicly, and with light.

1,500 people. One road. A short prayer at every doorstep, a candle in every hand.

It's a walk of witness. A way of saying: we see you, we are with you, and we are not going anywhere.

What's Happening

Kat-Kalrav means "the sound of many voices rising together." Roshni Ki Raah, the path of light, is how we get there.

So bring your family, your friends, your candle. Walk a road that is so often looked away from, this time with light, presence, and respect.

About Kat Katha

We've worked on GB Road for 15 years now, not from a distance, but from inside the community.

Education for the children. Vocational training and livelihoods for the women. And the kind of trust that only comes from showing up, year after year.

Kat Katha is a registered NGO working with the women and children of GB Road, New Delhi.

Your Evening, Step by Step

4:00 PM — Arrive and settle in. Pick up your candle, and we'll walk you through the route and a few simple dos and don'ts.

5:30 PM — We walk. All 1,500 of us, together.

5:30–8:00 PM — Stop, pray, continue. A prayer, some flowers, and a moment of silence at every brothel.

8:00 PM — The Flower Moment. Dev Deepawali, the whole road lit up as one.

8:30 PM — Stay and celebrate. Food, the Didis' market, and time to just be here.

9:00 PM — We wind down, with a big thank you to everyone who made it happen.
