JAZZ EXPLORER TRIO
Event Information
The Jazz Explorer Trio is a collective of 3 of the most senior and internationally acclaimed jazz musicians in Denmark. Together and individually, they have literally toured all over the world. They are deeply rooted in the American jazz-tradition with influences from the melodic music of Scandinavia and a global outlook.
The trio has a great love for India and has for many years collaborated and performed with leading Indian artist including Kala Ramnath and Abhijit Banerjee. In particular the Danish Grammy-awarded saxophone-player Lars Møller with his Global Jazz explorer Institute, for more than 30 years, has exploring how we - embedded in different musical cultures - can learn from each other, interact and create artistic coherence.
At the concert at Depot48 the Jazz Explorer Trio will perform “classic” trio-jazz by themselves supplemented with a few tunes with one of India's leading tabla-players Abhijit Banerjee as guest.
The concert is presented in collaboration with Danish Cultural Institute and JazzDenmark
