Known predominantly for its cultural mix and food, Lucknow has been fast emerging as a metropolitan city in the last few years. The city is home to approx. 400+ startups across health, food, logistics, e-commerce, and other associated fields and has warmed up gradually to be on the startup map of India.

With the rise in the number of startups that are springing up from the city and connectivity to the rest of India, what Lucknow needs moving forward, is large-scale incubation opportunities to allow startups coming from Uttar Pradesh, the right platform to flourish. Alongside incubation, capital investment and mentoring are what the ecosystem needs to pay immediate attention towards. 

Furthermore, skill development, identification of challenges and suggesting best practices to bolster the ecosystem are other pre-requisites so that Lucknow can grow to become the next hub of startup unicorns in the years to come.

Runjhun Noopur is an ex-corporate lawyer, a bestselling author, speaker and entrepreneur.

Her pieces have been widely published by various national and international publications including the Huffington Post, The Times of India, and Chicken Soup for the Soul and her debut Nirvana in a Corporate Suit has been garnering rave reviews from all across.

As an entrepreneur, she is enjoying her stint as the Co-founder of ECORK Coworking and Creative Spaces, a unique, vibrant and eco-conscious initiative that seeks to redefine work/life balance through coworking, collaboration, coaching, and curation.

A project management professional and entrepreneur, Mr. Qais Mujeeb is the Founder and MD of Ascezen Consulting, a digital services provider in the city of Lucknow. As an 'infopreneur', he has helped craft highly engaging content strategies for businesses of all shapes and sizes. 

Apart from a 17- year corporate career, he has spent 10 years in leadership roles across digital, along with being a certified Project Management Professional (PMP). 

He also releases a host of articles and publications from time to time, sharing his thoughts on the changing dynamics of the Indian corporate sector.

Avichal Jain is a first-generation entrepreneur, artist, and traveler.

He has co-founded two companies, including the trader of herbs Ayurveda in 2016. He worked for different segments of business to cater best for his vision including the telecom sector, digital marketing, and information technology to know why who and how about the consumer behavior.

Now he is a full-time entrepreneur and Co-founder of Kindred Elements working on his dream mission to save electricity for sustainable development of the economy.
