It was during British rule in India when the Europeans also fell in love with this beautiful fabric. The crop requires  adequate amount of moisture and humidity to grow. Cotton plantation tends to grow in the warmer climate that’s why it was first cultivated in India as Indian weather is humid and warm at the same time with right amount of rainfall.
