The Asherigad Guardian of Nature Clean-Up Drive aims to engage volunteers, local communities, and environmental enthusiasts in a hands-on effort to preserve the natural beauty and historical significance of Asherigad Fort. The initiative will focus on cleaning up litter and waste, promoting sustainable practices, and raising awareness about the importance of conserving heritage sites.
1. Environmental Conservation: To remove litter and waste from Asherigad Fort, restoring its pristine natural environment.
2. Community Engagement: To involve local communities, students, and volunteers in a collective effort to protect a heritage site.
3. Awareness and Education: To educate participants on the cultural and historical importance of Asherigad Fort and the need for environmental stewardship.
4. Promotion of Sustainable Practices: To instill eco-friendly habits and sustainable waste management practices among participants.
5:00 AM – Assemble at Outplay Sports Training Centre, Kandivali West
• Briefing on the day’s agenda, safety protocols, and distribution of cleaning supplies (gloves, garbage bags, etc.).
5:15 AM – Departure from Outplay Sports Training Centre
• Travel by arranged transportation from Kandivali to Asherigad Fort in Palghar District.
7:30 AM – Arrival at the Base of Asherigad Fort
• Briefing about the fort’s history, environmental significance, and the objectives of the clean-up drive.
• Teams are organized and assigned specific areas to clean.
7:45 AM – Begin Trekking to Asherigad Fort
• Volunteers will start the ascent, collecting litter along the way to ensure a cleaner trail.
9:15 AM – Arrival at Asherigad Fort
• Rest and regroup before starting the clean-up activity.
9:30 AM – Start of Clean-Up Drive
• Volunteers are divided into teams, covering different areas of the fort and surrounding trails.
• Collection of litter, plastic waste, and other pollutants, with segregation for proper disposal.
12:00 PM – Lunch Break
• Packed lunch provided to all participants.
12:45 PM – Resume Clean-Up
• Continue clean-up efforts in harder-to-reach areas and ensure no waste is left behind.
2:30 PM – Wrap-Up and Group Photo
• Gather all waste in a central collection point for responsible disposal.
• Group photo to commemorate the event and acknowledge participants’ contributions.
2:45 PM – Begin Descent from Asherigad Fort
• All participants start descending back to the base.
4:15 PM – Regroup at the Base and Closing Ceremony
• Final debriefing session and certificate distribution to participants.
4:30 PM – Departure for Mumbai
• Board transportation to return to Outplay Sports Training Centre.
6:00 PM – Arrival at Outplay Sports Training Centre
• End of event.
