Goa Moving Images Festival is a curatorial initiative from LIVE HIVE. GMIF is an experimental

platform for immersive post-cinematic practice. In this platform, we would like to encourage

emerging conceptual video-art, artist cinema, and as well as performative video documentation as

well. Still images, dance movement works and sound experimentation, spoken word art, text art,

are many other aspects we are exploring as new dynamics of artistic and self journeys.

LIVE HIVE is a not for profit international community-building project. It is a part public –

part private living space where artists can find a new dimension to their work in an

eco-driven safe environment. This Residency is aimed at creating a community of artists,

especially create a network between Goan, Indian, International artists, creating an

opportunity for them to function in a broader interdisciplinary exchange. It fosters the

seeds of a growing relationship where they are impelled to make works inspired by and in

conjunction with the local communities and where they can come back with new projects

with the indigenous artists of the region. Goa Moving Images Festival brings together the

celebration of all of the above.
