Event Information

Global Goals Impact Games is a 5V5 Futsal Tournament conducted by AIESEC. It is a League Based Tournament which moves into Knockout stages.

This event is aligned with the sustainable development goal three (Good Health and Well -Being) which have been given by the United Nations.

This event revolves around the idea of futsal and this has been one of the most prominent and successful impactful initiatives taken by AIESECers.

Team Size

5(On - Field) + 3(Substitutes)

Rules

Match Duration:

  • Each match consists of two halves, in total 15 minutes.
  • There is a 1-minute break for half-time.
  • The clock stops whenever the ball goes out of play or there is a break in play. It resumes when play starts again.

Time-Outs:

  • Each team can request a one-minute time-out per half.
  • Time-outs can only be called after notifying the timekeeper and when the team is in possession of the ball.
  • Unused time-outs in the first half cannot be carried over to the second half.
  • No time-outs are allowed during extra time.

Rolling Substitutions:

  • Each team starts with one goalkeeper and four outfield players on the pitch.
  • Coaches can make as many substitutions as they wish.
  • Substitutions can be made without stopping the game.

Infringements and Sanctions:

  • Fouls are penalized with either a direct or indirect free-kick, or a penalty if committed inside the penalty area.
  • Red and yellow cards are used for disciplinary actions.
  • If a player receives a red card, they can only be replaced after a mandatory two-minute time penalty.
  • If the team concedes a goal during this time, the substitute may come on before the penalty elapses.

Goalkeepers:

  • Goalkeepers can move anywhere on the pitch but can only handle the ball inside their own penalty area.
  • They are allowed to throw the ball from their area into the opposition half.
  • When in possession, they have four seconds to play the ball to a teammate.
  • They may touch the ball again after an opposition player has touched it or if they advance to the opposition half.

Team Fouls:

  • A count is kept of fouls penalized with a direct free-kick or penalty kick in each time period.
  • These offenses are called “accumulated fouls”.
  • When a team commits a sixth accumulated foul, the opposing team is awarded a direct free-kick without a wall on the second penalty mark, which is situated ten meters from goal and four meters behind the first penalty mark.
