About the workshop?
In India, women have been objectified in the media and even in real life for several years, but we as designers have never looked towards the reasons that have been triggering these activities.
In this workshop, we will be discussing one of the major reasons that trigger a certain attitude
towards a certain gender that is Sexual Objectification. Through this workshop the individuals
will come across the fact that this is one of the problems that we as designers can think about
and take responsibility for not objectifying a gender or community in future. We as creators need
to understand the responsibility we have on our shoulders, as design has the capability of
changing the world.

About the host:
She is a Graphic Designer, an Entrepreneur, and a Social Care Designer. She is currently the Head of the Design Department at MNV and also running her own startup named Itishree that designs systems, products and services around Social Care Design.
The main agenda of her practicing design is to create an impact around the notion of sensitivity,
how we as creators can take a sensitive and a compassionate approach to create a design with
a positive impact. The growing rape cases in India and the reluctant nature of people towards
not discussing and designing for the safety of an individual has inspired her for this workshop.
Who should attend:
Any individual who is keen to learn about Social Care Design and wants to work in human
centric design.
