Event Information

An immersive, sound-based listening event

Founded & conceptualised by Akshay Raj

EHSAAS is a contemporary sound practice and immersive listening event that explores perception, presence, and collective awareness through the intentional removal of visual stimuli. Designed as a blindfolded format, EHSAAS invites participants to enter a space where sound becomes the primary medium of engagement.

The event unfolds as a live, improvised sonic environment. There are no predefined compositions, rehearsed structures, or performance hierarchies. Sound is created in real time, guided by instinct, responsiveness, and the shared energy of the space. Participants are not positioned as spectators, but as active listeners within a carefully held environment.

EHSAAS deliberately moves away from conventional concert or performance frameworks. Instead, it functions as a facilitated listening space, one that prioritises attentiveness, stillness, emotional resonance, and deep presence. By removing visual input, the experience allows participants to engage more fully with sound, time, and their own internal responses.

At its core, EHSAAS investigates listening as a cultural and human practice rather than a passive act. The event creates conditions where sound is not consumed, but encountered, inviting moments of reflection, vulnerability, and connection within a collective setting.

Founder’s vision:

Akshay Raj conceived EHSAAS as an ongoing exploration of sound as a medium for awareness, seeking to create spaces where listening becomes intentional, embodied, and transformative.
