Before: 136.5 Kgs
After: 81 Kgs
Ms Rashmi Shetty is the Executive chef at the food court International Airport. This is what she has to say about life after successfully losing 55 kgs post Bariatric surgery!
” Seeing the numbers go down on the weighing scale is definitely the biggest motivation post-surgery. However the non-scale victories which we often overlook can be equally motivating if not more..!!
Not requiring the extender for the seat belt in an aircraft being able to actually run on a treadmill.
Simple things like being able to cross your legs or sit down cross legged comfortably.
When clothes in a regular store finally fit you rather than a plus size store.
When you actually realise that you too have a jawline and cheekbones.
These are things which an average human takes for granted but it is something that bariatric patients can truly appreciate.
We should all enjoy and celebrate these little non scale victories as they can actually motivate you, make you feel good on the inside and generally pump up the positive feelings”
