Digital filmmaking one day workshop

Digital filmmaking is a relatively new concept. Till at least a decade back, most of the filmmakers followed the traditional style of filmmaking. However, digitalization has slowly seeped into the industry and today, all the filmmakers have taken to digital filmmaking style. Digital filmmaking gives some amount of ease of working and it is cost effective too. Be it cinematography, video editing or script writing, all the departments have benefitted a lot from digitalization. Earlier, people believed that they do not require any formal education to enter the film industry, just working under someone would do. But now with digitalization, everybody entering the film industry requires formal training to be able to learn at least the basics of filmmaking.

Chennai’s Visualite Film Institute is now offering a one-day workshop in digital filmmaking. This workshop is being conducted on a weekend for the benefit of school students, college students and working professionals who would otherwise be occupied during the weekdays. This workshop intends to give a basic idea about how digitalization has transformed the entire filmmaking process and also teach students about the current trends and expectations in the Film and Television industry.
