Event Information

Sandhan Valley is one of the unique beautiful treks in our country that has a 4 km long stretch of crevice, The trail is descent trek from the starting point, involves water crossing which adds up the thrill at the starting of the trek and descend through the boulders in the crevice and then rappel down a vertical rock patches to reach the end of the Valley. Later hike alongside the riverbed for 6KM to Dehene village.

Do not miss this adrenaline trek if you are a true thrill seeker to experience the uniqueness of the trek in Maharashtra.

We will be camping on the first day at the samrad village situated at a picturesque location surrounded by the well known mountains of Sahyadris.

Grade: Moderate, Endurance: High, Total Trek Distance: 12 k.m approx.


Itinerary:

DAY 1:

  • Reporting time at Kasara 03:00 PM (Board into the 12:33 PM CSMT - Kasara Fast local train)
  • Travel by hired vehicles to the base village from Kasara - 3 hours.
  • Event Briefing & introduction - 20 min.
  • Dinner break at villagers house - 1 hour.
  • Visit the campsite.
  • Bed time - 10:00 p.m.

DAY 2:

  • Wake up call - 05:30 AM.
  • Fresh up and breakfast - 1 hour
  • Descent Trek in Sandhan valley - 6 hours.
  • Lunch break during trek at Karoli ghat - 1 hour.
  • Hike to dehene from Karoli ghat - 2 hours.
  • Road journey from Dehene to Asangaon Railway station by hired vehicle - 1 ½ hours.


Expenses:

₹1900 per head, Inclusive of transport from Kasara & to Asangaon by hired vehicles, Veg dinner, tent stay on DAY1 & breakfast, Technical Expertise, Veg Lunch, Forest Fee on DAY2.

Excluded: Snacks break at the highway or any personal expenses.


How to Register:

Step -1: Book your slot through the following online payment.

Step-2: After payment, you will be requested to fill up the Mandatory online disclaimer form.

Step -3: Now your participation is confirmed & Organizer will create a WhatsApp group on the day of the event for coordination, We will coordinate through SMS/ Call if the participant is not available in WhatsApp.


Checklist

What to Wear:

• Trekking/ Hiking shoes with a sturdy grip.

• Comfortable quick-dry full sleeve clothes (avoid jeans or cotton wear).


Things to Carry:

Carry a single rucksack with the following things:

• Minimum 3 liters of water.

• Sleeping bag & Sleeping mat for bedding.

• Cap/ Hat & Buff/ Bandana.

• Winter clothing (windcheater/ fleece jacket/ sweater & beanie cap).

• Dry fruits, ready-to-eat food, and healthy snacks.

• Toiletry kit, sunscreen lotion, mosquito repellent.

• Extra set of quick-dry clothes, an extra pair of socks, flip-flops.

• Head Torch/ Torch with spare batteries.

• An extra pouch for non-biodegradable (plastic) litter.

• Personal medicines.

• Identity Proof.


Instructions:

• Participants should bring an ID Card for their safety.

• Technical handling at rappelling/ climbing is tested beforehand by our team to ensure safety.

• All the participants need to be equipped with PPE when instructed by our team.

• Participants are requested to wear the mask at all times during the travel and follow the Covid-19 travel protocols issued by MOHFW.

• Participant to fill up the mandatory disclaimer online form with accurate details after payment confirmation.

• Inaccurate details in the disclaimer form won’t be accepted and our team may request to refill the disclaimer.

• Please do not cause delay and cause inconvenience for others and impact the schedule if you are not able to reach the pickup point at the said time.

• Below 16 must take the consent of the parents to participate.

• Participants will be notified in advance to when the itinerary is modified/ event gets canceled due to any unforeseen circumstances.

• If there is an unexpected change in weather during the event, the organizer has the right to withdraw/ retreat.

• Do not play loud music or tease animals during the trek.

• Avoid deodorant or perfume.

• Participants should pay for the expenses that are not mentioned in the expenses.

• Event schedule may delay or advance due to unforeseen conditions so timings aren't mentioned except the event start and end time.

• Alcohol consumption/ smoking/ any kind of intoxication is strictly prohibited. Will be expelled from the event If found with consumption.

• Please do not litter any plastic; we commit to keep our events clean.

• Washroom facility is inadequate during the course of the event.

• Participants should coordinate, maintain discipline, and align together as a team during the event.

• Avoid wearing expensive accessories/ Jewellery in the outdoor event.

• Please do not expect luxury facilities and appreciate being cooperative with fellow ramblers.

• Though we assure safety as a top priority, the RamblersIndia team is not responsible for any severe injuries or fatal events.

• No group discount or concession available.

• We rely on third-party payment gateways to make the registration process simple and feasible; it also includes the convenience fee along with the main event fee which will be shown at checkout that should be borne by the participant.

• A refund of 60% is paid if the participant cancels their registration one day before the event, 40% on the day of the event.

• There won't be any carry forward to the next event if a participant cancels the registration.

• No refund for a no-show.
