Vertical Gardening is the next big thing to connect the crucial elements of Environmental Values + Horticulture + Technology + Entrepreneurship + Gig Jobs. And hence this effort to groom the youth with mobile-first, on the go  learning approach.   

- We Indians have the great opportunity to reap the demographic dividend as we are home to the largest youth population in the world with around 2 Cr people turning 18 years every year. Creating gainful employment for the new entrants of the workforce is the priority. The emergence of Industry 4.0 has complicated the employment scenario where the research says 50% of the India workforce needs re-skilling. Despite sustained economic growth in the country, the need is evident to think laterally for alternate livelihoods.   

- Vertical gardening as a service at homes, offices and public places has the potential to  engage thousands of youth in the socio-economic activity.

The WhatsApp learning cohort is provided with mentoring and practical resources for weeklong study, focusing on entrepreneurial aspects and know-how of vertical gardening. 

The remote program is to set the foundation on a scientific approach to bring the socio-economic change among the participants. We connect them on-demand to the professional community and enable with further resources to grow the venture as a startup wherever they are. Ultimately they grow with different shapes and sizes meaningful to their own locality and its demands.  

We use HP Life Foundation certification courses on select topics as part of the program. More Open Education Resources and MOOCs are also referred wisely. 

The participants pay the fee and join the WhatsApp group to experience the social learning. The weeklong schedule is fixed to deliver the curated contents from a group of resource personnel. The day-wise focus on topics, learning outcomes, question and answer sessions are engaged through group activities. Individual learners, however, can reach resource personnel on email or phone for personalized inputs.  

Target Audience: Passionate Youth, 18 years and above. It demands 10-12 hours of study during the program. 

 

Ideal Cohort size: 30, but, no restriction  

 

Delivery: A hybrid model of online / mobile / remote engagements. Self paced - Asynchronous learning - Anytime Anywhere
