One World presents Children’s Acting Class with Sohaila Kapur.

Sohaila Kapur is a reputed actor, writer, playwright, director and acting coach. She is part of several webseries and cinemas like ‘Aarya’ and Special Ops on Hotstar, Leila on Netflix, Bhaukaal on MX, Family Man on Amazon Prime, Satellite Shankar on Zee 5, Phantom directed by Kabir Khan, Daasdev, directed by Sudhir Mishra and Satellite Shankar directed by Irfan Kamal. Forthcoming Projects include Sajid Nadiadwala and Milan Lutheria’s Tadap (working title) and Ajay Rai’s How To Kill Your Husband

 Actors who studied or worked under her at the beginning of their careers include Huma Qureshi (Gangs of Wasseypur, Ek Thi Dayan, Leila), Kunal Nayyar ( The Big Bang Theory), Tannistha Chatterjee (Brick Lane, Road Show.) Danish Hussain (Peepli Live), Vidushi Mehra (No One Killed Jessica, Bajate Raho) Sandeep Bhardwaj (Veerappan), Mohit (Splitsvilla) , Raghav Chanana (24)and director Tarun Dudeja (Listener).

Sohaila’s online Children’s Acting Classes focuses on identity and performance skills for Kids. The mind, body and voice will be honed to produce the complete actor, who is able to get under the skin of any character, anytime, anywhere, in any medium.

• Introduction to Acting and Acting Methods (Stanislavsky, Lee Strasberg, Stella Adler & Meisner)
• Inner life and physical action
• Verbal action: communicating with words and subtext
• Voice & Diction
• Orchestrating emotions
• Creative exercise and Meditation
• Developing character (through physicality, gesture, emotion)
• Engaging with texts through research, analysis, audience
• Improvisation, observation, rehearsal, tasks, tactical engagement with plots/scenarios, situations, conflicts emerging from representing, resistance, and collaboration
