As an opportunity to promote responsible tourism in our country and to utilize the potential of our rivers in an environmentally friendly manner for the last 10 years, we were collaborating with the Kerala Tourism Department and the Kerala Adventure Tourism Promotion Society, we are happy to inform you that the Chaliyar River Paddle 2025 is scheduled to be held on October 3rd, 4th and 5th this year.
As usual, this time we intend to start from Nilambur and end at our facility “Jellyfish Watersports” in Cheruvannur, Kozhikode. It is a long-distance paddling program attended by many beginners and experienced people from different parts of the country. This time we intended to accommodate only about a hundred paddlers.
This year too, tourists participating in the Chaliyar River Paddle 2025 will be rowing and collecting plastic waste flowing into the river. We are also an agreement with an NGO called "Green Worms" to separate the collected plastic waste and send it to a recycling facility.
This event is aimed to attract locals & eco-friendly nature people to the Malabar region and focused on connecting more and more people to our rivers with the hope that they will help in keeping the water clean while taking full advantage and engaging in such activities and adrenalin rush in our own rivers, also give awareness to people to protect forest and importance of planting trees and seeds. The river is very dangerously damaged and polluted with plastics and other garbage. This club is regularly conducting this event at our local area and once in a year from Nilambur to Beypore.
